    • Lucy makes a rare blooper in this episode. While looking for the cigarette case she first says 'silfer', then in the next breath corrects herself with 'silver'.

  • QUOTES (5)

    • (while Lucy grapples with Madame X, thinking it's Ethel, Ethel runs in)
      Ethel: Lucy!
      Lucy: What?!
      Ethel: What are you doing?
Lucy: I caught Madame...(realizes) WHOOPS! Madame X! (Ethel screams, Madame X escapes, Ethel hugs Lucy tightly)
Lucy: Ethel...Ethel...let go of my neck!

    • Fred: Say! If we could get Lucy to strangle you, then we'd have her fingerprints!
      Ethel: That's a great idea!
      Fred: (excited) I like it!
Ethel: Not the strangling, the fingerprints.
      Fred: (Disappointed) Oh...

    • Lucy: (carrying little Ricky) I'm sorry to wake you up honey, we're going over to Aunt Ethel's, that might've been Madame X on the fire escape. (looks out the door) There she is. (stops and watches Ethel in Fred's hat and coat return to her apartment, Lucy closes her door) I can't believe it, your Aunt Ethel is Madame X!

    • Ethel: We'll go up on the roof and come down the fire escape and watch Lucy tonight.
      Fred: What for?
Ethel: Well if she doesn't go out in a man's suit, that proves she's not Madame X.
Fred: That won't work, even a criminal takes a night off.

    • Ethel: Fred! Fred! Fred!
      Fred: What is it?
Ethel: I know who Madame X is.
      Fred: Who?
      Ethel: Lucy!
      Fred: Lucy who?
Ethel: Mrs. Trumbell just said that she saw Lucy leaving this apartment carrying one of your suits.
Fred: Oh I don't believe it.
Ethel: Well I'll just check for myself. (looks in the closet) Just as I thought, your gray suit is missing.
Fred: Ethel there are a hundred reasons why Lucy would want my gray suit.
      Ethel: Name one.
Fred: Well she might've...she might've...so Lucy is Madame X, eh?
