Episode Summary

K. Rummenigge - West Germany, 1986
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge scored nine goals while playing in three World Cups, and the two-time European Footballer of the Year helped lead his country to the final in both 1982 and 1986. Down 2-0 to Argentina in 1986, Rummenigge's strike midway through the second half ignited a German comeback to level the score. But a late Jorge Burruchaga goal secured the title for Argentina. With the West Germany loss, Rummenigge became the first (and only) man to captain the losing side in two consecutive World Cup finals.moreless
