During the shootout on the boat, the stuntman who fills in for Marcell Hillaire is noticeably taller and skinnier than the actor.
Kelly: The net game was going a little better today, was it not?
Scott: Sorry.
Kelly: What do you mean, all right? It was great.
Scott: It's okay.
Kelly: Well, it may not have been great, but... I can't stand a guy who's right all the time.
Scott: I thought the flower bit went out with Mata Hari.
Kelly: Well, listen, don't knock it. Maybe it's coming back in again. Looks pretty good on a man.
Max: I have an infallible instinct about such things. You are Mr. Robinson, and Mr. Scott.
Kelly: (correcting him) Mr. Scott, Mr. Robinson.
Max: Infallible instinct. We shall get along famously, we three.
Scott: Where'd you learn to speak your Chinese?
Max: In bed. (Scott and Kelly's jaws drop) While asleep.
Max: How did you get down there on the floor? I asked, how did you get down there on the floor?
Kelly: I tripped over you.
Max: Oh. Well, I'm terribly sorry, Mr. Robinson. It's just that my reflexes are so quick...
Kelly: Max.
Max: Yes, what is it?
Kelly: We are on the same team, aren't we?
Max: Make your point.
Kelly: Uh, we have to police the area.
Scott: What for?
Kelly: We lost a skirmish, I think.
Scott: You know what I always say?
Kelly: Yeah, what's that?
Scott: If you lose a skirmish, call for the maid.
Kelly: Well, that is a stunner all right, sir. No question about it.
Max: Call me Max.
Kelly: I've been calling you Max. I hope I'm not out of line.
Max: Don't give it a second thought. We're all in this together, fellows, up to our necks.
Kelly: (readying for a raid) Max, don't you have a gun?
Max: I am my own weapon.
Scott: Hey, Kelly?
Kelly: What?
Scott: You think he let go of the machine gun?
Kelly: He had to let go of the machine gun. (calls over the side of the schooner into the water) Max! Let go of the machine gun!
In the opening bar scene the background music heard is "Harlem Nocturne", a jazz classic from 1947 composed by Earle Hagen. Hagen also wrote the I Spy theme song and scored the music for all the episodes.
