Most people, at least those able to tie their own shoes, feed themselves, and cross the street without holding an adult’s hand, have looked at the TV listings and said, “Oh hook, Paris Hilton is on that show. I’ll never watch that again.” Paris Hilton’s presence has brought the prestige level of shows down, but how bad would a show have to be that putting Paris on could raise the level of the program?
How bas is clearly, really bad. But that is a good description of “I Want to be a Hilton”. Mama Hilton’s show started out SO BAD that the promise of Paris and Nicky’s participation actually made the show look better. I’m not saying they made the show good, just better. Say, bringing it from 0.1 to 0.3 overall. Of course what they bring up is the “Unintentionally Funny” level. The more Hiltons, the funnier, and we’re not laughing with them, we’re laughing AT them!
