    ^ I'm with you there

    TJ12 - Yeah, that's how I felt about a week ago too.

All-in-all, I can't say I was uberly excited to get back to school, but I was ok with it. I mean, I love summer, but I'm glad to have something to do during the day. And it feels nice to see all my friends again. In high school, after long breaks and whatnot, one of the perks to going back is being able to see your friends again, even if you've seen them a few times over the summer. Once you're in college, though, one of the main perks to going back is being able to see and spend time with your friends again because, most likely, you literally haven't seen them in months.

I'm still puzzled over why school starts in the middle of the year in America, why not in February. The start of the year, should be the start in my view.

Lol, Feb seems like such a random time to start school! I mean in America, September is always viewed as the unofficial beginning of the year, mainly because it starts everyone going back to their usual schedules (School and work) after the summer break (May/June-August).

It sucks to be back at school, ESP when u change your major halfway to getting your original degree. I always thought school should start in January, just makes more sense to me.

It's a bit weird for me. Why don't people have a long break over Christmas, they can go on holidays and such especially over New Year's Eve. It's probably just due to the Summer is December down here, while winter is in America up there.

Wow. My computer's flippin' dumb. I totally posted a response to to that and it decided to be a troll and do something weird for it to not post.

Anyway, basically, what I said was depending on where someone lives, it could be either summer or winter right now. In the northern hemisphere, Americans go back at the end of summer with autumn just around the corner. That would be the equivalent to February in the south because the southern hemisphere at that time would be experiencing the middle-end of summer. So, it kinda makes sense both ways, I guess.

I dunno. I only wanted to post that because I wanted to show off what I just learned in my Physical Geography class, which has to be one of the most interesting classes I've ever taken

We do get breaks . One for Thanksgiving and a bit longer one for Christmas. Then Spring Break in March/April.

Haha, I know that. I meant as in 'a 6 week break,' the longest break between different year levels.

Also, with the Autumn/Fall - America may be the only country to start calling it 'fall.' I wonder why they changed it years back.
