  • iCarly Saves TV- Bad!!!!!

This episode WAS NOT GOOD!! Sam was fired because she was violent!!! Hello tv producres ever seen iCarly?? Freddie quit on Carly like that? What a little b***!!!! And the Zebo thing sucked!!!! Seriously i am glad this season is almost over!!!!!
  • It's not perfect but at least I get to see an actual great episode of "iCarly" and it was actually better than I expected when I saw it the first time

    8.0
    "Great"
Okay, you all know that I dislike most of the Season 1 episodes. Well, this special was actually pretty great. Sure, it's not perfect and it could have been better but I actually see a great episode of "iCarly" that cleans up all of the messes that Season 1 has been making with the unwatchable and bad episodes. Carly, Sam, and Freddie getting their webshow to go on television was a great idea and pretty funny. Spencer eating Mrs. Benson snacks and then throwing it was hilarious. Mrs. Benson staying with Spencer because she feels lonely without Freddie was funny. The Zeebo the dinosaur was hilarious especially when Sam was beating up Zeebo with a microphone... I don't like Sam but that part actually made me laugh very hard. I also laughed at the line "I did four episodes of Full House". There were more funny parts as well. My score was low because the producers making major changes to iCarly's television show was bugging me very much. I also didn't like Freddie doing things for the studio such as unclog the toilet, etc. but Harper's (Leon Thomas III) song at the end of the episode was good. Overall, it may not be perfect but it was mostly certainly a great episode of "iCarly". 8/10

What I liked: the Full House reference, Zeebo, Harper appearing on iCarly at the end, "I ain't supervising what you produced in there", Sam agreeing to be fired because she would still get paid for the rest of the week, Harper crashing the producer's car, amongst other things.

Good episode. It gets a lot of hate amongst fans but personally, I think there are far worse. Somewhere in the "B" range is going to my final grade, I think is fair for this particular episode.
  • tv show?

So The gang gets offered a TV show by a producer That makes terrible sitcoms but he changes everything. Freddie is know the slave that has to do nasty chores. The producer want's a guy in a dinosaur costume. that bumps into Sam and she doesn't like it! she beats the guy up for like 30 seconds! Another bad case of inappropriate violence. Then Sam quits and only Carly is left. She has to work with a girl who's clearly a snobby arrogant .... But Carly doesn't wanna continue. So at the end they've changed the show into the girl and the dinosaur. I liked this episode because you get a behind the scenes look of what can go on at the icarly set. While we all only see two girls and a guy you realize that's it's already a TV show with multimedia components of course.
  • icarly saves TV

    7.5
    "Good"
A nice TV special that focuses on just how bad the TV business can be and how moronic network executives change the original concepts people bring to them. Would iCarly work as a TV show (their show on the internet, not the actual show)? Probably not, but their way certainly would not work either with a dinosaur.

The episode was both funny and relevant, and really had you rooting for the iCarly gang, something this show excels at. Usually I like the villains, the bad guys on TV shows, but not this one. That shows how strong this writing is.

Great episode, it is a shame not everyone feels the same way about it.
  • Boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh, Icarly save TV was the worst episode in icarly history. I kinda forgot what happened in the end since it was so forgetable. i mean no producer wouldbe that stupid to put a stupid dinosaur on there. not funny just annoying! Luckily Icarly made an improvement in imatchmake. which was soo funny!! The ending was stupid. A Sitcom With A Pampered, Spoiled, Paris Hilton Wannabe With A Dog In Her Arms Is A Daughter Of Zeebo An Annoying Barney Wannabe Dinosaur!!! WHAT THE HECK!!!!!! What kinda idiot would spend 1000s of $ on icarly just to make it a sitcom. Lame episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh wait, maybe i did remember the ending.
  • Very Underrated

    7.5
    "Good"
Wow, I have to say this tv special is very underrated. I mean it's better than a 6.3 average! In it, the Carly crew is given the opportunity to have their webshow turned into a hit TV series, so they take the chance, however soon everything that was so great about the webshow is thrown out to make room for "improvments" (they fired Freddie!) This is a great episode about tv takeovers and their territorial takeover of small shows better than their big-budget ones. Overal, one of the better ones of season 1, shows what iCarly was to be. 7.5/10 C+
  • A T.V. producer wants to make a hit show for kids. He decides to put iCarly on TV as a series, which turn out poorly. Sam, Freddie, and Carly then fight for their web show back.

After all the hype and advertising and whatnot surrounding this special before it premiered, I was expecting for this to be an on-point episode... I was debunked. I am writing this review full of pure disappointment.

This episode was still somewhat funny, however the plot was iffy. This was a FAIR episode at best. I was definitely disappointed to discover this plot was derived from Wayne's World. I suppose I don't blame the producers. They wanted a ton of viewers and that's what they got.

Originally, when I wrote this review (around the time the episode) aired, I wrote "I hope better episodes are coming our way" and I'm SO relieved my wish came true :)
  • Underrated.

    8.5
    "Great"
Alright, so this episode wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad! I think 8.5 is a fair score. I felt bad for Freddie, I wanted to punch that stupid little girl, but at the same time I realise they really did portray how over the top and stupid female celebrities like HER can be. Not pointing fingers, but doesn't she remind you of someone else who is actually famous? But I won't go into that, since I'm reviewing this episode. The subplot was very meh, but the rest of the episode was generally good. Short summary of the plot: iCarly becomes a TV show, but it all goes terible and then they change everything, and then everything is normal at the end. Predictable plot, but what else were we expecting? It IS another of those god dang awful sitcoms I hate to love.

  • pure lameness

    "Poor"
I'm sorry, but the episode is called iCarly saves tv, but all they do is prevent their show from airing on tv. The idea is way over done (I mean what show hasn't done an episode about the characters getting a shot at the big time?) It was incredibly predictable, and no director would be as stupid as the one producing the show. I mean honestly, no producer would put a large stupid polyester dinosaur on that tv show? And what producer creates a set of a show before knowing if they'll even make the dang show? I mean sets are expensive (which is why the one they "created" looked exactly like the real iCarly set! Beacuse it's the same one.) Thiis episode was a major disapointment, especially after them advertising it for weeks. Oh well, at least there were a few laughs in the episode. It gets a 4.5 out of 10.
  • Have I seen this before? Oh right The suite life did it about two years ago! And Frankly they did it better.

    "Poor"
To start of I'm not a fan of the show in general, the plot is stupid the humor is dumb and the actors are well... not good. The plot of this episode was no exception to the other poorly plotted episodes. The only actor on this show thats worth anything is Jerry Trainer (aka Spencer). First off, who would want to make the iCarly webshow into a TV show, they're not even that funny. Secondly, the random humor was just terrible! It almost made me cry. If you ask me none of this actors (other than Trainer) deserve to be on Tv or on the web.

this episode wasn't good at all the episode didn't make me laugh that much i thought they would do something better sad! nothing good happens why do it if they knew that this will happen. when i see this episode on the t.v i always want to change the channel because it's not good enough make it better so lame to watch and stupid episode to make up. so boring, bored out of my mind so lame hope they can make it better. i wish that i could of been on another topic something funnier and better than this one.LAME!
  • Producer wants to turn the Icarly webcast into a show on their network with some subtle changes.

    2.5
    "Terrible"
I don't watch the show religiously but I thought the first couple of episodes were ok. Then immediately I thought they should do a Wayne's World(movie)type episode or tv movie. I was nervous when I heard the promo for Icarly Saves TV just because Dan Schneider and the rest of the writers are terribly unfunny. They underestimate kids and teens and feel they have to go for the cheapest, corniest jokes. Anyway I tuned in to Icarly and this was the first time Icarly was like torture. Somehow they take a fairly decent idea for an episode and make it into the most absurd plot. I honestly thought the writers were on acid when they wrote this script. Long story short, i am disappointed and upset with this episode. They should bounce back with a seinfeldy episode where Carly and Sam write a pilot for the same producer about Carly/nothing. It will be based on carly and her webcast and there will characters based on each freddy, sam, and spencer. But even if this gets a shot Schneider will destroy it completely.
  • short and not cleverly plotted

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
Too short and not clever. I carly saves tv was about the network of televison who bought icarly and made changes to the show. at first they did good with the addition of the band for i carly during their opening. But of course the additions slowly but surely got worse. First the addition of a strange dinosaur called zeebo. Then, even worse, the show fired sam and replaced her with a rude child celebrity. and, when zeebo quit, the lead of the band, harper, replaced the man who played zeebo and after sam was replaced he quit. shortly after, the new supervising producer, freddie quit! Then carly said it was'nt even i carly anymore. and just like that carly and sam got the name back and was able to do i carly again. too litlle plot.
  • Typical storyline, but alright.

    7.8
    "Good"
This review might be the only positive review so far, but I still kinda liked it. This storyline was VERY typical, as you seen it done so many times before that. And you obviously know that in the end, iCarly would go back to be online instead of on TV.

I must admit that Zeebo was pretty stupid and didn't do nothing to make the episode funny except for when Sam was beating him up. And at least in the very end, the show that they took instead of iCarly sucked. So you know that that show would be canceled in no time. Well, they got this plot out of the way and hopefully, they don't do anything else like it in future episodes.
  • iCarly did nothing for TV

    iCarly,

    iCarly Saves TV,

Ok this episode was part of a special package for nick. I thought this would be great i was wrong. An overuse story line added with some bad antics in which nothing actually happened lets begin. Ok in this episode a stupid tv producer cant get his daughter to watch the tv show he produced. Because she was watching iCarly. The producer than gets Carly and friends to make a tv show around the webshow. Thing go bad when he wants to change the show with stuff he thinks are cool. Freddie gets a job that doesnt do anything exscept rub a fat guy with ice. Sam is fired and Carly just complains alot. I wansnt liking this episode the jokes felt off and i still cant stand that laugh treck. In the end the show gets canned and everything returns to normal. If only it happened that way.
  • A TV movie producer decides to make a hit TV series based on iCarly. When Carly wants to quit and go back to doing a web show, it would be illegal if she did.

    4.8
    "Poor"
I cannot believe I am actually giving an episode of iCalry a four. I'm sorry, people, but I can't help myself. I mean Nick put up a lot of hype for this so-called-movie. Which was never really a movie. In fact, I would say it was more short than most episode. Maybe if it was advertised like a regular episode, I would've given it an eight. Or a nine or whatever! Some parts in the movie where good, which is why I gave it a four. Such as when Sam was killing Zebo or the part where Mrs. Benson was taking care of Spencer. But, I didn't like a few parts in this movie either. Such as the producer guy who wanted to make more room for Zebo. It got so annoying. That's all he cared about, but Zebo wasn't even funny in the first place. Neither was the original show he was going to do. Second, I also didn't like Amber Tate, because she was such as jerk. This was really the only episode of this series I hated. Final Grade: D-.
  • Sam, Freddie and Carly are asked for Icarly to become a television show and all that could go wrong does go wrong.

    5.8
    "Mediocre"
This was without a doubt the worst episode of Icarly so far. This episode was absolutely pointless. It's like the producers just made this episode to buy themselves more time to make another episode. This episode was highly overated and from the promos that were running it was a huge disappointment. They didn't even have the decency to extend the episode considering it is the season finale of Icarly. It was only 30 minutes while a show like the naked brothers band which is normally 30 minutes gets a 90 minute season finale or a 1 hour show like Lost which got a two-three hour finale. This episode would have been a complete wipeout but I love Freddie, Carly, and sam so much so that it wasn't all too bad. It was also kind of cool the Zeebo segments and segments with Harper. Overall though this was very disappointing.
  • We could completely get rid of this episode and pretend like nothing happened.

    1.0
    "Abysmal"
Literally, we CAN! This episode contributed nothing to the storyline of iCarly. The plot is iCarly is bought by some company named TVS and then they start changing everything until it doesn't even look like iCarly anymore. Now normally I would give this episode a good score, but the ending in this is horrible. Usually I enjoy watching iCarly but here the episode ends abruptly. Carly says that it doesn't look like iCarly anymore and the guy from TVS agrees and they change it into a sitcom. Yeah...that was a smart move. They waste thousands of dollars on a set for iCarly then they change it into a sitcom. Then it ends how it starts iCarly goes back to being a webshow. So...aside from the fact that they could tell stories of this experience, it ended how it started, and that's not a good plot or ending.
  • iCarly, the "television special", was not as billed.

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
First off, this was billed as a television special. The only way those words REMOTELY fit this is the fact that iCarly, the webshow, is put on television.

Otherwise, this 30 mini 'special' was just another episode. But worse than a lot of the episodes.

One minute, the show's normal. The next, Carly, Sam, and Freddy are offered a job on television. It all goes from there.

Freddy has no real part to the show and Sam is fired quickly. She is replaced with a girl who is pretty much just an Ashley Blake imitation from a Drake and Josh episode. And they add a singing dancing dinosaur.

A few minutes later, the executives are confronted, and iCarly is off the air and back on the internet.

This episode was very rushed and poorly done. Would have been better as a 90 television special instead of crammed into an episode.
  • DISAPOINTMENT

    "Abysmal"
This was by far the WORST iCarly episode, next to iDream of Dance. I just wanted them to get iCarly on TV and get it the way they wanted it. They made a big deal over basicly another 30-minute episode. The basicly only funny part about this is when they dressed the Earth up like a little girl and when Sam beat up Zebow with the michrophone. The TV producer was a total jerk and the shows at the beginning and end were totally LAME.I also wanted it to be around an hour I hated absolutly, positivly hated this episode
  • Wait... I've seen this before...

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
iCarly saves TV was an incredibly hyped up episode in what is probably Nicks most popular live-action show right now. The episode had a whole marathon leading up to it, with additional commentary from the actors. So, was it worth it? Unfortunately, the answer is no.

In this episode, a failing TV network consultant is trying to make a new show that will really appeal to viewers. After seeing his daughter watching a webisode of iCarly, he offers to make iCarly a real TV show. At first, the friends are excited to get to host a network show. But after the show gets changed beyond recognition, the three begin to regret their decision.

First of all, the idea is completely unoriginal. Throughout the whole episode, I had that feeling of deja-vu, "I've seen this before..." The whole plot has been done before many times, and the episode reminded me greatly of the Drake and Josh episode "Really Big Shrimp". However, good TV shows usually have a knack for making even the most recycled plots seem fresh and original, by adding their own twist. However, the episode did nothing to distinguish itself. Most iCarly episodes end up being funny overall, but this episode had few laughs. The only parts that were really memorable was when Sam started beating the dinosaur with the microphone, and some of the side-plot with Spencer and Freddy's mom.

Overall, a big dissapointment in a overhyped episode. I reccomend the series as a whole, but not this particular episode. 5/10

theres a guy who works for a tv company but all of his shows suck so he desperately needs an idea for a show or else he will be fired. he finds out that kids love icarly so he offers them to make their webcast a tv show. it sounds great but freddy notices all he does is hard work that has nothing to do with the show. the tv company guy. makes so amny changes to the point where everyone hate it. sam and freddy are fired but then carly manages to get her webcast title back so they got through all that stuff
  • Worst episode so far.

    3.8
    "Bad"
"iCarly Saves TV" was supposedly a TV Movie or a special event, but it was only 30 minutes long (22 without commercials) and there was really nothing special about it. It was available for viewing on Nickelodeon's Turbonick video site a week before it aired on TV, and it was a whole 27 minutes long, wow. But when it aired on TV, Nick but some of the best parts of the show out to make room for commercials. It really bothered me. It was actually pretty funny, but the whole thing seemed too rushed and alot of stuff seemed to be unsolved. The ending was bad too.
  • I don't normally watch or mind iCarly but this episode pissed me off for being a Waynes World ripoff

    1.2
    "Abysmal"
I don't normally watch iCarly unless there really isn't anything else on but seeing how this episode got a lot o hype I decided to check it out. The entire time I watched this episode I kept feeling I've seen this before. Then it hit me this was an unfunny version of Waynes World. Think about it Carly had a popular web show, Wayne had a popular local channel show. Both were discovered by a national television producer. The producer makes major changes to the show both start complianing that it wasn't their show anymore. The only difernce was that the producer didn't try to steel Carly's hot asian girlriend. Not to mention I never really cared or any of the chliched shows they now make on Nickelodeon like this show and the Naked Brothers band. I just find it chliched that their webcast in no time became one o the most amous in the world. And don't get me started about the other show. My final thoughts about this episode it Mike Myers should sue for plagerism

i think that nickelodeon spent too much time advertising a tv movie that wasn't even long enough to be considered a movie and not enough time actually making a good episode. if they made it an hour long, they would have more of a chance to really show how the studio was ruining iCarly. there were some funny parts, though. for example, when Sam beat up Zeebo with the speaker thing, and when Freddie had to do all the terrible chore things.
  • Short episode. Meaningless plot.

    1.8
    "Abysmal"
As much as I LOVE iCarly with Carly, Sam, Freddie and Spencer's antics on the titular webshow, There has to be at least one episode on this show's worst in the show's run. This is the only one on the list and it is number one on the list. It was way too short and there was no real meat to the plot AT All. It was the same as the D AND J ep "Really Big Shrimp" only there was no fight to get back what was truly the character's thing.

There was also only one thing that made me laugh and that was Sam beatin' up Zeebo.

    Truly abysmal episode.

    Same with the plot.
  • I have never been this disapointed in I-Carly.

    1.0
    "Abysmal"
First of all, the jokes to me were more like an 11 year old attempting to be funny. Another thing is that iCarly's creative team usually puts good thought into there episodes. This, how could you classify it as a TV Movie? Nickelodeon decided to spend more time advertising it than making it worth watching. Perhaps if they gave it an hour to show they wouldn't have rushed it out. Basically, all that happens is they do a web show, it gets turned into a TV Show, the cast members either quit, or get fired and they go home, and before even saying anything else, they show a random musical appearance. Only a 7 year old would laugh at "Look at me I'm putting' my finger up your nose!" And that nonsense. When Nickelodeon comes on your screen, and lies about calling it "Awesome!" Do yourself a favor and change the channel. I'd honestly rather watch Tom And Jerry than this borefest which never caught my attention, and found me leaving during the commercials.

I-Carly is a great show, don't get me wrong. But this episode, not so great.
  • This episode was great so far.

I really like it how the movie producers wanted too turn iCarly into a hit TV show but it turned out to be a big huge mistake. I liked it how the movie producer wanted to take Sam out and replace her with Amber Tape a famous movie starr and Sam first cared and then she didn't because the movie producer was going too pay her every week for being there. I feel really bad for Freddie because he didn't get to be part of the crew and was a person's slave. What I felt really bad for was when the dog puked on him. I extremely sorry for Freddie in this episode.
  • Way to put pressure on your kid, lol. Cool project, blowing up watermelons, though it would be messy. Poor Freddie, now he is in his boxers since his pants exploded, I can't believe that Carly went along with it.

    6.1

Why did that guy think of making an online show the first time he came into his office and saw his daughter laugh, lol. It would have saved him so much embarassment. Wow that would be cool, to be interupted during class by a tv director. Poor Freddie is out of a job and is pretty much a slave to the producer, (hugs him). Mrs Beson is missing her baby but now Spencer has to be her "companion", poor thing. What kid under 5 loves Dinosaurs? He is just annoying and I laughed so hard at Sam beating him up, it was so funny. What I don't understand is if kids love ICarly, think it is funny and is popular why change it? Poor ICarly team, that is so unfair, it started out as a cool after school thing now it is a pain to watch. Go Carly and Freddie standing up for themselves. That guy is so clueless about what kids like. I am glad that at the end, ICarly went back to normal.
