This may not be the funniest episode of Season 4 but it's way better than the previous "iCarly" episode "iSell Penny Tees" which is the worst episode of Season 4 so far. Anyways, this episode was great and it had me laughing through most of it. That Jodi character was kind of annoying in this episode so that's what made my score a little low. I thought it was funny that Gordon proposed to Jodi on iCarly. It was hilarious when Jodi told Carly and Sam that they could both be her bride's maids and Gordon told Freddie that he can be his best man for the wedding. I thought Gordon's brother confronting Freddie was funny but kind of got on my nerves. It was hilarious when Sam said that the wedding was eternal. It was hilarious when Jodi said that she wants to marry Spencer and then Spencer's tie would fall down. It was hilarious when the old woman would knee Spencer and Carly. It thought it was hilarious when Gordon urined in his pants when he tried to sing a song to Jodi. I also thought that the song "Shakespeare" that Carly sang at the end of the episode was pretty good. Before I end this review, just wanted to mention very quick that Gibby's subplot was the main reason why my score is a little low... the only funny part about that subplot was when Hazel fell on the ground and then Gibby ran off but I didn't like that Hazel who is a old woman helped Gibby and I kind of felt bad for her. Overall, subplot may not be that great but the main plot was very funny and it's a great episode of "iCarly". 8.5/10
Overall, this wasn't a bad installment. I really wasn't expecting much from this plot since it sounded like something that has been done a million times on TV shows, but it definitely had some good humor, especially in the first half, such as the scene with Gordon's brother confronting Freddie and the scene where Spencer randomly walks into the iCarly studio and asks them if they want mustard. The second half wasn't too funny, however, and I found some of the jokes to be lame, such as Gordon's grandmother hurting Carly, which I'm sure most people saw coming, and the jokes about Spencer's butt got really old. I did like Jody and Gordon getting back together in the end, though. Now, the main problem I had with this episode was the subplot. It made no sense to me, and the resolution just leaves you hanging there. Gibby sees a five dollar bill in a tree, gets many strangers to help him take it down, he gets it and leaves. What?! I also thought it was kinda disturbing how he asked the old woman, Hazel, to go on a date with him. I did like seeing Guppy again, though. So, overall, this definitely wasn't one of the worst episodes of the series, but it could have been better. At least it was a tad better than the last episode. Final grade: C. Marebear2009, out!
in this episode it is another Icarly speical its were a Guy goes on Icarly to prepose to his girlfriend and she says yes and gang go to Wisconsin for the wedding and meanwhile Gibby and Guppy(Yay Guppy returns) find a 5 dollor bill and Gibby wants it man why couldn't the writers made it a 50 or 100 dollar bill insted and Gibby wants it and its so funny that Guppy still says happy birthday and back at the wedding the bride falls for spencer and Carly saves the wedding by singing a song man Carly was awesome and hot while singing
carly has a guy named gordon appear on icarly to propose to his girlfriend, and his girlfriend agrees to marry him. but on the day of the wedding the girlfriend admits she likes spencer. will she marry spencer or end up marrying gordon?
i dunno, this didn't seem 'real' to me. I think the girl had a small crush on Spencer from seeing him on iCarly, and I don't think she actually did like him enough to marry him. Maybe she did but it didn't feel that way to me. It's like when you have a crush on someone on a tv show or movie and you declare you want to marry them, you don't really mean that.
On top of that, Gibby's plot was nothing but filler. Really? 5 dollars? If it was a 50 or even 20 I could see him wanting it, but only a 5 dollar bill? Also, I'm probably alone, but Guppy's "Happy birthday!" line was only funny in iPsycho. Like, it's pointless to have him keep appearing if that's the only thing he's gonna say; it's gonna get old (for me it already is to be honest).
But it was overall an OK episode. It wasn't particularly funny or anything but the plot was good. C- or so
iCarly had an episode on Monday, and it was just as good as the episodes on Saturdays. This show is still atop kids comedies even in its 4th year, but I would be lying if I said that today's episode was funny. It really was not funny at all, and the subliminal advertising of Miranda Cosgrove's singing career was pretty disgraceful, but it was an interesting storyline for sure, and I am surprised they alluded to a man actually urinating in his pants on a Nickelodeon show. This season has been pretty strong, but this episode was just so-so.
Awesome episode. Carly/Miranda can sing really well! the Gibby subplot was funny! So glad to see guppy again! Spencer/Sam butt joke was funny. There has been a lot of Spam in Season 4! It's never going to happen though. The wardrobe was good in the episode. Compared to other specials,it could be better, but its very awesome. Some people claim Gibby isn't Gibby anymore, but maybe he's just more matured. I kinda miss the Gibby/Shirt Off Bit. Eww,the groom pissing himself. Not at all a pleasant sight. I felt really bad for him. All in all,an excellent episode. Bring on ISart A Fan War!
I didn't expect much from this iCarly "special." And by special I mean every time you tune in to Nickelodeon, the promo will be showing about twice every commercial break. I can't tend to find what's so special about this iCarly special, other than it airing on a Monday, there was really nothing special about it. Nonetheless, this was still a good episode of iCarly. It just frustrates me how ridiculous the Nickelodeon promos can be. We got a lot of hilarious one liners here, most of them coming from Spencer. Did anyone else fall in love with the couple that was getting married? Them kissing in the end with Carly singing their song just seemed like such a special moment even though they were barely introduced. The one setback that this episode did have was Gibby's story line. Why oh why did they make him a series regular? Next thing you know, Guppy will be in the opening credits. All of Gibby's scenes were dreadful and filler, just to make the time go by. Overall a great episode of iCarly, not a "special" in any way, and it had one major setback. Not bad, iCarly. Not bad at all.
