I don't know why, but I really found this unbearable. Basically Carly jokingly challenges some big girl fighter named Shelby Marx to a fight, but for fun. But later at a press conference all get in a fight and Carly is pushed onto Shelby's sickly grandmother. Now Shelby really wants to take her down. So she decides NOT to fight, but then she gets ridiculed by all her friends and so she apologizes and the fight is on. But Nevel tricks Shelby and makes her think Carly planned on falling on her grandmother. So when the fight comes, Shelby tries to beat Carly, but Carly has a strange tactic to survive. In the end, all is resolved, and all is forgiven.

Sorry, but I found this a dumb resolution and didn't think any part really stood out. Grade: D-

All i have to say that this episode was a waste of time..why u may ask? First of all the laugh box is still annoying and none of their jokes are funny. Freddy is so pathetic in this episode and he's so desperate for love it's not even funny. Carly aka miranda cosgrove yeah sures she's hot but she cant act to save her life. Spencer is pushed around by her little sister carly. And Sam dont get me started with sam. The most pathetic thing i saw in this whole episode is that carly was hit only once by shelby marx. then carly grabbed shelby's leg and hold on for the rest of the fight.. now that's the saddest attempt ever!...I mean what happened to the nick shows i came to know and love back in the day huh!? I hope this show gets cancelled quick!

p.s; dan shnieder i hope u get fired or stop making shows please we don't want more aboniations like this ...do we now

I didn't know what to make of this episode in the beginning, like I didn't know how the plot would develop. The only part that brought the rating down, is the ending with Nevel. It ends like any other episode he is in. He loses, and the gang humilates him. But the rest was pretty good. Highlights would have to be, Carly getting punched, Spencer's allergy plot, Carly knocking down Shelby's grandmother. There was some parts where I laughed really hard. I don't think this deserved to be a "movie" Just two parts aired seperately would of been decent enough for this episode.

    "Terrible"
Wow this episode was absolutely horrible. Carly's entire act was bad. This movie was hyped up so well and seemingly was going to be awesome and it kind of left the feeling at the end like "That's it? Carly got punched once and then held on to Shelby's leg for the rest of the fight which was very disappointing. Although I was happy to see Nevel again his performance was rather lackluster compared to his previous appearances. Also Sam and Freddie who I normally find quite funny weren't good in this episode either. Spencer's sub plot was never even finished so that was bad. The only saving grace of the entire episode was that we got to see Victoria Justice again and in that very hot uniform
  • Wasn't bad, but it could have been better.

    "Great"
The movie was ok, but it dragged a lot, the same things kept happening over and over and the jokes weren't too great, and then we got like 5 minutes of the actual fight which was a rip-off. Spencer's plot was good, but they didn't conclude it. We never get to know if his allergies are gone and whatever happened to his side effects, which, I must admit, were funny, specially the memory lost one and him flipping Gibby's poprconr, speaking of which, it kind of felt awkwards how they tried to give Gibby some unnecessary screen time. Victoria Justice did a good job, but Carly was annoying, she's not that girly and fragile, the running and screaming was getting out of hand. At least it was a tad better than iDate a Bad Boy, but it wasn't great, just good.
  • This "movie" is not only disappointing (didn't even expecting this to score a 2!); it provided no entertainment whatsoever. The only good thing is that Gibby didn't take off his shirt for the millionth time and that Carly got punched in the face, really.

    "Abysmal"
iCarly's really a hit-or-miss kind of thing. The first few episodes had some quality, while the rest were generally terrible, lacking any kind of entertainment other than laughing at the mediocrity. iFight Shelby Marx fits in the second category.

One thing I have to mention is that this episode was massively overhyped. It's been in production for a really long time, with commercials everywhere, tons of marathons, and other little features. It made it seem like this movie would have Carly get in the ring with another fighter and have an epic brawl. Well, the thing is, it wasn't epic at all. It was boring, pathetic and really awkward to watch. iFight Shelby Marx is, in my opinion, one of the very worst iCarly episodes to date.

One thing to note is the ridiculous plot, which is nothing like the commercials made it seem. They aren't even close. In actuality, Shelby and Carly have an exhibition fight for popularity; it's not all because Shelby's pissed off or anything. The plot unravels in a predictable fashion. Something bad happens that Carly didn't mean to, and she then fixes it. Spencer takes pills, and has side effects like the doctor says. The entire idea of Nevel trying to screw things up is also very predictable. The fight, the main focus of the movie is a really lousy scene. Carly gets punched. Once. Then she grabs onto Shelby's leg and sits there. That's it. The ONLY thing happening during the fight. We're then shifted to a lame scene backstage where the people kidnap Nevel against his will and the ending takes place.

The ending was really lame and disappointing. They find out Nevel's behind it and beat him up? Really? Is that all that Dan Schneider could think of? It was incredibly anti-climactic, lame, and left the viewers in the dark as to what actually happened as a result of the incident. So they just...went home? What?

At one point in the story, Carly temporarily cancels the fight because she bothered Shelby (the fight was originally planned to be fake, but she was so angry she'd actually hurt her), and people are disappointed. You know. Because a pathetic weakling is afraid to take on the _NUMBER ONE_ fighting female. That's just pathetic. How on Earth is it being a chicken to not want to get your ass kicked by one of the world's greatest fighters? So apparently, kids and teachers (yeah, teachers) make fun of them and decide not to watch the show (what the hell? Why stop watching that (terrible) trash just 'cause a fight? You should stop watching it simply because it's terrible.), so Carly apologizes and they get the fight back on. And then we learn how stupid and gullible Shelby is because a mysterious kid who sounds creepy shows her a fake video where Carly plans to attack her grandmother and believes it. What? Another thing is the really terrible humor. About every single joke in her is predictable. From Spencer's side effects to what Carly and Freddie say, I was never surprised in any way, and never laughed. The jokes seem to be forced; I can't name a single scene that didn't end with laugh tracks being played. Something disappointing is that it's always the same kind of humor: that it's apparently hilarious that a person's not "normal"; that a person saying something strange is hilarious; that insults and arguments are hilarious. It's disappointing. Why do we get this when we can have some CLEVER humor? None of the same trash we get over and over again.

Yet another problem is that "humor" is constant. There's almost never a single moment without a joke. You'll get sick of hearing electronic laughs every few minutes. And it's always the same, too. The same for "They're in trouble!" or "Yeah! They did it!" moments.

Another thing is the characters. Carly was just plain awful, no doubt about it. She was a whiny, prissy little brat who complains about everything. Freddie was a loser who only plans to get girls, and Sam was just incredibly annoying. Spencer was incredibly stupid, taking mysterious pills from a mysterious person, and _the pills aren't even confirmed to be safe yet! He risks muscle spasms, hot flashes, sore throats and numerous other side effects just because the pills can solve his allergy problem, which apparently existed in this episode and none other. Gibby seemed to be a kid who was so desperate to fit in with popular kids that he'd stop talking to his closest friends in public and call them names. Other than that, I'm glad he wasn't a freak in his other episode and didn't expose his ugly body by taking his shirt off like he does in basically every single time he appears.

All in all, this was a very bad episode. The plot was lousy, humor was entirely nonexistent and annoying, and it was just overall annoying to watch, leaving me begging inside that it'll be over soon. I really hope that the show ends soon; the episodes are severely lacking quality (although the first ones weren't so bad) and they just seem to be getting worse and worse.

    Name: iCarly

    Specific Episode: iFight Shelby Marx

    =Plot=

    2/10

I cannot believe I trudged through an hour of that horrible episode. I can’t believe how stupid and inconsistent it was. I will not spoil anything, but I’m just going to say that it was very confusing as to when they were going to ‘fake’ and when they were going to be real. I mean, honestly, I found the previews quite exciting. But once again, iCarly fails to live up to what it says. The previews said something around the lines ‘Shelby Marx can’t take a joke…’ right? W.R.O.N.G. That was like the exact opposite! I mean, I also was astounded at how Sam once again just was stupid and highly un-comedic, by ‘trash-talking’ Shelby Marx. Then, when everything goes wrong, all she says is ‘Oops’. Wow, great creativity there. This whole episode was ridiculous and highly hypocritical. Maybe I don’t understand humor, but I’m positive that this wasn’t humor. The episode made absolutely no sense, and it was further dulled down by Spencer’s side episode (which usually is the stupidest part anyway.) So in conclusion, is iCarly telling me that I could sit around all day, making stupid and rubbish plots for a tv show and still get PAID? Wow. Simply, wow.

    =Characters=

    3/10

Alright. I might be biased. I absolutely detest all four of the main characters. I will admit that they can be funny. Can be funny in the sense that once in a blue moon. So I disregarded all my despise for the four, and viewed them. All I can remember from the episode is Carly screaming, Spencer itching something in his boxers, Sam being highly obnoxious and annoying, and Freddy being stupid. So, I guess that doesn’t hold much merit does it?

But I will admit Victoria Justice is an amazing actress. Who knew she could switch from drama queen in Zoey 101 to world champion fighter in iCarly? And not to mention, in those shorts and tank-top? : - ) But looks aside, Shelby Marx was a decent character. She mostly was…enigmatic (aside from her kicking people), and apparently very gullible. (I won’t spoil anything) Alright, maybe not looks aside. Shelby Marx was a horrible character. =Genre=

    2/10

This show is SUPPOSED to be funny. Keyword: Supposed. In this episode, it was surely not even a laugh from me, or my sister who is famed in our family and friends to laugh at anything. I don’t understand how trash-can wedgies, obviously gay evil boys, and having side effects that are plain weird are funny at all. I will not spoil anything, so I won’t go further into ranting about how ridiculous this show and episode is.

    =Visual=

    8/10

This is where iCarly gets my attention. I will admit all the graphics during the iCarly webshow and all the furniture, dishes, and other props in general are quite stylish and arouse a sort of envy in me. For example, Carly eating popcorn arose a craving for popcorn in me, despite me being thoroughly stuffed from a heavy dinner. And in the end, the grape juice bit was very cool and the whole turning-on-the-lights-in-the-octagon part in the end was pretty powerful. =Conclusion=

I do not like this episode

I do not like it in a box

I do not like it with a fox.

I do not like it in a house.

I do not like it with a mouse.

I do not like it here or there.

I do not like it anywhere.

    "Perfect"
While I must say I liked "iDate a Bad Boy," iFight Shelby Marx absolutely knocked my socks off. The writing was perfect, the execution by the actors flawless, and the comedy, hilarious.

Victoria Justice does an awesome job as Shelby Marx, the pro fighter that challenges Carly to a fight. While not all of the fighting looked quite real, it was still good.

Nevel was also very annoying in this episode, but in a good way. His scheme was so evil, you just can't help but hate him.

But the best part of this episode above all was Spencer. The side effects of the allergy pill will leave you laughing for a while.
  • This girl is hot!

I really like this episode, because a cagematch between Carly & Shelby is hotter than ever. It was pretty scary when Freddie was looking through the cage when they were going to beat Nevel, I don't think it deserved to be an hour episode. Nevel is a di***! I hate him so much, he needs to stop coming back, cause he is going to lose every battle. Shelby Marx is hot and she really grew from Zoey 101, great body, very fit. Probably the best episode of the season, just because Victoria Justice was in it. You might disagree with me but she is smoking!
  • pretty good.

When i first heard about it, I was very excited and could not wait to see this movie premiere. But as we all know, stuff is not always as good as we expect it to be. My first thought after watching the entire movie was that it was ok. But now that I think about it, it was actually pretty good. In fact the fight part kind of WAS a little funny and I give her credit I mean I know it's probably the most embarassing thing that can ever happen in one of those fights but what else could you do to survive them.
  • Actually pretty good, but not perfect.

    9.0
    "Superb"
This was better than the first two iCarly movies. I didn't find it too dragged out or rushed, and it had a good outcome. However, there were a couple things I disliked about it, and I will address those first. First of all, I didn't like how everyone (well, almost everyone) made fun of Carly and avoided her because she was afraid of getting hurt. The message this scene delivers to people is that it's okay to be judgmental and to make fun of people for wanting to stay safe and not being willing to take dangerous risks, and that lesson is not right at all. This movie also had some parts in it that were sort of gross, like Spencer continuing to eat his soup after his sweat had dripped into it and when he kept scratching himself with the wooden spoon. Speaking of which, one of the only overused jokes in the movie that I found more annoying than funny revolved around Spencer's side effects, and that was the joke about his muscle spasm causing him to knock Gibby's popcorn out of his hands. After seeing that the first two times, I started thinking "enough already!" but it still kept happening! Now, on a more positive note, there were quite a few good jokes throughout the movie like Shelby talking about how raisins and Freddie freaked her out and Spencer freaking out about how much pay-per-view cost. Other things I liked, even though they were a little too overused, were the joke about the Russian kid not being able to talk right and Spencer repeating his questions because of his short-term memory loss. The fight near the end was the most exciting scene, and I was surprised by how little it took for Carly to win, and Sir-Mix-a-Lot was in the audience! XD Like I said before, I was also pleased by the outcome of this movie. Carly was able to explain to straighten things out with Shelby. Oh! One more thing I should add, NEVEL IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! At least he admitted he tricked Shelby. Also, since when does he have a porcupine? Overall, a great installment, but not one of the best iCarly episodes. Marebear2009, out!
  • On iCarly, Carly jokingly challenges Shelby Marx, the youngest and toughest female professional fighter, to a fight. Shelby, not realizing it was just a joke, decides to accept Carly's challenge.

    "Perfect"
This movie surpasses the first two by far. I don't see how it got such a low score. First, it was nice to see Victoria Justice on Nickelodeon again. She was spectacular as the fighter Shelby Marx! And it was fun to see her and Carly in the ring, even though it wasn't really that much of a fight. It was also cute to see Freddie having a crush on someone else besides Carly and Carly's little bit of jealousy.

I don't like Nevel because he's so evil, but he was great in this episode. His plot was the worst you could get!

And Spencer experiencing the side effects of his allergy pills was hilarious. I have to wonder if those pills were real...

I hope iCarly can keep the great up!
