They tried but wasn't good enough to make a great episode.
  • i actually loved this episode.

i actually loved this episode. Carly, Sam and Freddie are shocked when they find out they have to rehearse with Ginger Fox, a talentless, shrewish popstar. And things become a disaster when Ginger hasn't rehearse din three years. i thought it was funny when ginger gets mad throws a fork in Freddie's shoulder. the Spencer plot was pretty funny. When she starts going out with Gibby's mom and his mom thinks he looks to much like Carly. when they start kissing Spencer sees Gibby's face and Charlotte sees Carly's face. overall another hillarious icarly.

  • Somewhat decent but this episode could have improved so much more

I thought this was a decent yet not that great episode of "iCarly". It wasn't a bad episode because there are much much much much much more worse iCarly episodes than this like "iMeet Fred" for example. There were some very funny parts in this episode thought when the fork was stuck in Freddie's shoulder (although that part is not appropriate for kids to see). Spencer freaking out about dating Gibby's mother was hilarious especially at the end of the subplot when Spencer freaked out because Gibby's mother looked like Gibby and then Gibby's mother freaked out because Spencer looked like Carly. There were a few more very funny moments as well. I really didn't like that Ginger Fox character and she is mainly the reason why she lowered my score pretty much. Warning: Kids should not watch this episode. Here are the reasons... as I mentioned earlier, Ginger threw the fork at Freddie's shoulder, Ginger Fox using the cuss word "damn" in this episode, and she looked like that she got hungover and drinks alot of alcohol. What is it with Dan Schneider putting cuss words in "iCarly" lately. Come one, Dan... you made this a kids show which I don't even consider a kids show because teenagers seem to enjoy this show more than kids. Anyways, if you are overprotective of your child... PLEASE don't let him watch this episode. The ending was also pretty cruddy. Overall, this episode was somewhat decent but Ginger Fox ruined pretty much most of it. 7/10
  • Britney Spears take off, got up and went!

I love the series, but "iFix a Pop Star" is the least favorite of the series. This episode is a take off on Brittney Spears bad year in pop music. there were some good moments, but the epiosode doesn't have much to laugh at. Carly, Sam and Freddie come to the aid of a wash out pop star name Ginger fox who wants her help to stage a comeback. If you follow Brittney spear's bad year of 2007, that what's sums up this episode. One scen where Carly and Sam are lying back in their chairs looking sexy. I love that scene. "Pop Star" gets a 5.
  • A bit strange otherwise hilarious in all ways! (Big Spoilers)

Okay the part with the fork in freddies shoulder was kinda gross and does anyone notice two things: The Ginger Fox/Britney Spears resembelence, and the Gibby's Mom and spencer thing kind of like that episode of hannah montana where jackson likes rico's cousin(then sister at the end)? Because those are defenuitly somethings i found Well, anyways, great comeback after that horrible iSpace Out. I loved Ginger Fox's performance and how later she is backstage asking where her baby went and she didn't even know his name. Great job Dan Schnieder and I hope you start to make episodes like this again.

A great parody of a Britney Spears type here as a washed up former sex symbol struggled to adhere to her director, so the iCarly crew was brought in. I was surprised at how much they let them say (how disgusting the singer looked etc.) but that led to the episode being a bit funnier than usual I suppose.

This episode was enjoyable as it deviated from the original formula a bit and that is always a good thing. The Spencer storyline was also quite funny, although they are overusing this Gibby character. He's not exactly Newman; save him for occasional appearances.
  • It was okay, but...

Carly, Sam, and Freddie have to direct a performance for a pop singer named Ginger Fox. The worst thing on this episode was Ginger. She was so annoying and gross.

And the subplot: Spencer starts dating a "hot girl," and he finds out that she is Gibby's mom. So he starts seeing Gibby's face every time he looks at her. I thought that the subplot was funny, but I've seen it somewhere else... Hannah Montana. The episode where Jackson dates Rico's cousin, and he see's Rico's face every time he would look at her.

So this episode was okay, but not the best episode ever.

this episode definitely has some good humor, especially in the sub plot with spencer and gibby's mom, but they made Ginger Fox way too unlikeable, IMO. I do understand that was the point, how she was incredibly gross/filthy/etc, but I don't care, I don't think that makes the episode that good. The first half of the episode is stellar, but when Ginger and her manager{?} come into play, the episode goes straight down, IMO. My overall grade:

first half of the episode- B+ or so.

second half {after the commercial break}- D+/C-, only things funny were spencer imagining gibby's mom as gibby and gibby's mom imagining spencer as carly
  • when Carly, Sam and Freddie agree to help out a washed out pop star, things don't go as smoothly as they were expecting. Meanwhile Spencer is dissapointed to know that a woman he's dating turns out to be Gibby's mother. Oh dear LOL XD

iFix a Popstar was treally amazing. I mean being dissapointed with iSpace out I truly think this episode back on the charts. It follows the gang helping a washed-up popstar who goes by the name of Ginger Fox. This episode was hillarious. Especially her final performance on stage, where she lifts up her arms and they see her armpit hair. That part had me laughing. It was also funny to see how she has a baby, and then forgets where it is. Carly and Freddie both agree to help this pop star, but Sam seems to be on the edge of helping her (comming from Sam I wouldn't be surprised). The sub-plot was classic too. Spencer dating Gibby's mother. That was truly one of the best sub-plots written ever on the show.iFix a Popstar had the fake audience laughing at the parts that were funny for once (usually they just laugh out of nowhere where nothing seems to be amusing). Dan Schneider should be really proud of this episode, and I hope he continues to write many amazing television series. I mean he's done seven (including victorious which premieres on saturday) for nickelodeon all together. Hope season 4 of iCarly will continue to bring on the funny, and a whole lot more Creddie interaction. I mean we can all use a little drama in sitcoms right? Keep it up writters, it finally looks like you got the hang of it.
  • A return to form after a few consecutive less than stellar episodes

    "Great"
I am glad that this show seems to be getting back on track. After being pretty disappointed with the previous 3 episodes Dan finally returns with a good episode. Both plots in this episode were funny and enjoyable, the main plot slightly more so then the subplot. The actress who played Ginger Fox played her appropriately insane and pretty funny, all the characters seemed to have great chemistry throughout the episode, even the awkward moments between Spencer and Gibby's mom were well done. The subplot was pretty funny as well, I loved seeing Gibby in a dress/Carly dressed as a guy, the awkwardness was so appropriate and quite well done. It seems that season 3 is finally starting to get back on track.
  • This episode was really funny! My favorite episode of the 3rd season.

This has got to be one of the funniest episodes of Season 3! It's great to see continuity and NOT hired actors/actresses. (I'm talking about the beginning with the four kindergartners.) iCarly is one of the best shows on Nickolodeon, better than things on Disney.

    Show Recap:

Carly, Sam, and Freddie try to help a Pop Star named Ginger Fox have her big comeback, only to discover she is completely washed up. And the subplot, Spencer starts dating this awesome woman, later he finds out she's Gibby's Mom.

    Positives:

-The humor was actually good, unlike some of the other episodes in Season 3.

-The plots were amusing and smart.

    Negatives:

    IDK really. lol
