What I liked: Spencer pretending his tuxedo was talking, the ending of his plot where he is trying to get the girl to not leave, Sam's happy ending, "It's actually a good place to keep fries", Sam beating up the bully (even though it's kind of unbelievable she could take down that other chick), amongst other things.
Good episode. Spencer's plot was more humorous and the main plot was more.. Plotty. Equals to a decent episode. B- or so as my final grade
It's Sam birthday and Carly Spencer and Freddie throw her a surprise party. There's a guy there that she really likes. Then the kids are speeching about her. The guy says that he can always call upon Sam if there's a fight and he calls her dude. Later Sam doesn't feel like a girl ands she want's to change for the guy so Carly gets her a new wardrobe. At school there's a senior bully girl. But Sam doesn't fight back and controls herself. But later they're in a diner and the bully hassles them again. Know comes the shocking part. The bully pushes Carly to the ground. I thought no way! Carly looked scared. This isn't appropriate for children to watch. Then Carly says go get her Sam and of course Sam goes mental again and jumps on the bully driving her away. The boy she liked saw it and says that he likes Sam as herself anyways. This is yet another episode about Sam lack of control. Okay the message is Don't change yourself but the Icarly world is mixed up. Usually a good girl goes bad to impress a guy or a group.
What is with this show and fighting? Don't get me wrong, it is funny and I love when it happens, but is this a good form of behavior to be preaching to young children? Nevertheless the bully was great, and seeing her submit was even better. A nice change for Sam briefly, but we knew this would not be a permanent metamorphosis, with her becoming girlier.
The Spencer storyline was also entertaining with a woman only liking him because of his tuxedo. Spencer is such an integral part of this show, so it's good to see him rewarded with clever parts like this one.
The episode opens up as Sam's birthday, and everyone is saying nice things about Sam, and she feels disgusted with herself, because her crush calls her a dude. Carly helps Sam be girlier. THe plot that amazed me was that big girl beating everyone up, like the scene would get all serious, like when she pushes Carly down, or when she pushes Carly to the locker. It's like serious for a change! Sam beat up the girl in the end, which made the episode better. The predictable "I like you just the way you are" speech took place. A good episode.
I loved this episode!!!!! So its sam's birthday and carly throws her a party and invites sams crush to the party and to impress the boy she asks carly to give her a makeover so sam trys to be girly.meanwhile,Spencer thinks a girl only likes him because of his tuxedo so he wears it all the time which casues a suprising ending. After that sam finds out that the boy she likes likes her as herself sam becomes normal again.Omg i loved this eppi especially the end it was so epic and it was the first time we get to see sam beat someone up(besides freddie:P) icarly is getteing better and better
this is one of my favorite episodes of iCarly. not only did Sam kick some girls butt she did it in heels and a skirt. very impressive. one of best things about this episode is that the A plot and B plot were both very good and funny. Spencer's tuxedo was completely hilarious and just as good as the main plot. i think some fans who did not like this episode probably had hopes that the sam and freddie relationship would play a part. all in all it was a really good episode
i thought that this episode was really awesome. it was cool to see what sam would be like all "girly and weak." like a "daffodil" she said. sam is so funny. it was also funny when carly was telling her that she had to start wearing "panties" instead of boxer shorts. lol. GO SAM! and i loved how sam broke out of her girly attitude to beat up that dumb jerky bully. it was so funny hoe she litterally knocked over the table and pinned her down, then screamed at the bully's friends. but i don't know why she was interested in that guy. (forgot his name) wasn't very attractive. but that's just me.
On Sam's birthday everyone gives speeches about how Sam has beaten them up and been mean to them over the years. The boys Sam likes says he would choose her over the football team to help him if he's ever in trouble. Sam feels upset about that and asks Carly to help her become girly. So Carly gives Sam a makeover and the boy Sam likes asks her out. Sam ends up changing back to her old ways though when a bully pushes Carly to the ground. Very nice episode, well written, with some funny dialogue. I was a bit disappointed that Carly and Freddie didn't want Sam to change back right away. I'm glad that in the end they accepted her for who she really is. The sub-plot with Spencer was a little weak. It had some funny moments to it, but it was mostly just weird and ended too quickly. My favorite part of the sub-plot was when Spencer was hot and sweaty drank something clear sitting by the couch said, "That's not water!"
I love how this episode focused a little on the friendship between the three main characters. The group hug and knuckle-touch were two great moments. I would have given this episode a higher score, but it was a little unoriginal. The main plot was almost identical to an episode of the older show Darcy's Wild Life on the Discovery Kids channel. I am glad though that the episodes have started getting good again. Season 2 had a rough start, but is turning back into the show we came to love.
In this episode it was Sam's birthday and Carly celebrated it at her house, and Carly made everyone give a speech about Sam especially Sam's crush, and most of them were about Sam bulling them or something else happening to them because of Sam.The next day Sam tells Carly she wants to be more like her. While Spencer has a date and thinks it's because he wears his tuxedo that make his date crazy for him. Carly tries to make Sam girly and be on his best behavior and get the love of her crush. Which usually works until a senior highschooler goes to the Groovy Smoothies and picks on her and her friends. carly wanted Sam to rip her head off and fight back, and she did. In the end Sam's crush saw everything that happened in the fight and he accepted her for her toughness.
iCarly's starting to get a little bit better and more stuff goes on and more detail, but that's just my opinion.
Sam decides to change her tomboy ways after meeting a guy named Pete at her birthday party. Meanwhile Spencer thinks a girl named Veronica likes him only when he's wearing his tuxedo. Kind of cheesy at some parts, but still very enjoyable.
Carly throws Sam a surprise birthday party, she invites lots of kids, including Pete, who Sam's been pretty crazy about lately. During the party, there's a segment where every person says a few words to the birthday girl. Everyone's comments are nice, and all contain memories of Sam using violence or stealing food. After hearing what everyone said, Sam starts thinking about her self image (for the first time) and decides she wants to be more girly, instead of being called a "dude", as Pete put it. Meanwhile, Spencer gets a tuxedo from Socko (who else?), and apparently he looks so cute in it that a girl he's been hitting on for quite a while, asks him out. But after the date, Spencer comes home depressed and says the date didn't go well. Carly jokes and suggests maybe the girl, Veronica, only likes him for his tuxedo. Spencer takes this seriously and decides to wear it on his next date. Back in school, Sam tells Carly that she would like to be more girly. Carly dolls Sam up and brings her to a cafe where Pete hangs out after football practice. Sam tries hard to be girly around Pete and he asks her out. Back at the apartment, Veronica arrives to go jogging but sees Spencer wearing his tux. After Spencer tells her his theory, Veronica laughs and tells him she likes him for who he is. Unconvinced Spencer pretends to change but actually still has his tux on underneath his jogging clothes. In school, Sam, Carly, and Freddie comes across a new kid who loves to bully people. She continually picks on Sam, who actually shows a lot of self control, trying hard to retain her new self image. Sam even goes as far as complimenting the bully on her shoes. After jogging with Veronica, Spencer almost passes out from exhuastion. Veronica finds out that Spencer was still wearing his tux and gets very mad. She decides to break up with him, only to come back later, saying he does look very cute in his tux. The two share a kiss. Meanwhile in the cafe, Sam, Carly, and Freddie hangs out while waiting for Pete to come by and pick Sam up for the date. The bully arrives with her posse and decides to make more trouble for the iCarly bunch. She takes their fries and dumps them into Sam's shirt. When Carly confronts the bully, she knocks her hard onto the floor. Carly finally allows Sam to be herself again and tells her to "rip the bully's head off". Sam did a pretty good job in teaching the bully and her posse a lesson. Sam, Carly, and Freddie hug in celebration, only to find that Pete had watched the fight. He looks stunned at first, but reveals to Sam that he likes her for who she is. (Where have I heard this before?) Sam smiles in relieve and the two go out on their date.
