This episode got soo old fast. It makes no sense that some random people wanna advertise their shoes on a webshow!!!! How about making a comercails. Overall, bad plot (as usual for seaosn 1).
  • Believe It Or Not, this episode actually made me laugh very hard

    9.5

I know I've said this a bunch of times but I don't like Season 1 that much and it's one of iCarly's worst seasons ever but this episode actually did make me laugh hard. The humor was surprisingly original and fresh, the plot was well executed, and everything else was just handled well. My score was just a tad low because I didn't like those Daka people too much and how they were almost gonna sue the iCarly crew for not mentioning the techfoots or whatever. Anyways, this episode was excellent by surprise. That one Daka person was very funny (you know the guy that ate a little piece of the tuna sandwich that Sam coughed out.... which was the by the way gross but it sure made me laugh). Carly and Sam showing the techfoots on "iCarly" was also very good and enjoyable. Spencer also waking up on the wrong bus and ending up in Canada (where he bought Canadian Bacon... not knowing that it was just ham) was very funny. Spencer being the iCarly crew's lawyer and then the Daka people canceled their contact was funny and excellent. The Daka people also giving the iCarly crew more money was very funny. I also loved the very ending when Carly bought a motorcycle for Spencer so he won't have to take a bus ever again. Overall, an excellent episode of "iCarly" that surprisingly had original and classic humor. 9.5/10

"iPromote Techfoots" is a very funny installment of the most popular kids show on television, iCarly, that resonates as well with its younger viewers as it does older audience members who are hoping for a realistic avenue to share their love of comedy. From the discussion of the number of viewers to the tricking the Techfoot executives by falsely positively advertising the product, it was not an episode that insulted the viewer's intelligence (like most non-Wizards of Waverly Place Disney shows do.)

The 18th episode of the show's 1st season is a great mix of comedy and a little bit of suspense that should satisfy the show's passionate fanbase.

i never liked this one a lot, the plot of them having a contract to talk good about a new shoe was OK but the execution did not do much for me at all. I found most of it boring and i did not like it. nothing was really funny and to me the plot was not that good, though others may disagree, anyway, there really was not much i liked, spencer's plot was OK but it was short, so my overall grade for this episode is a low "D" because i did like spencer's plot a little i guess
  • Series classic!

Just literally finished watching it a minute ago. It was fantastic! A real series classic. After iCarly gets the most viewers they ever got (which is not right really if you remember iSpy A Mean Teacher), Daka Shoes wants the three kids to advertise their new "Techfoots" on iCarly. They sign a contract for $100, 000, but when they find out the show is losing lots of viewers because the shoes suck, they need to find a way out of it. Spencer saves the day, explaining there's always a loophole with contracts, so they say positive things about the techfoot in the wrong way. Daka Shoes threaten to sue, but Spencer, the kids' lawyer, proves that they WERE being positive, and Daka Shoes pays them $30, 000 to not talk about their Techfoots. Carly uses all the money to buy Spencer a motorcycle. A fantastic episode.

  • Ah, the breaking the old contract episode.

Another kinda typical storyline where someone (in most cases is kids) must try to break out of a contract once they find how bad whatever the product is. But I still really liked it.

It was kinda nice to see power of money really only getting to Carly of all people. I admit that the techfoots seemed so cool but turned out to be "janky" in the end. And it was kinda clever how they managed to break the contract by saying nothing but positive things about the techfoots, but in a bad way. That was pretty cool.

I don't know why they would want all of their pay in cash, but that was pretty funny. And it was really nice of Carly to give up her money to buy a motorcycle for Spencer. That was pretty touching. And the episode ends with Carly and Spencer riding to Canada to get some bacon! Who doesn't love bacon? Or ham?
  • Carly gets an email on her pear-phone from a world famous shoe company called Deka. They pay them 100,000 dollars to promote them on Icarly. They are duds and must find a way out of the contract with Spencer's help.

This was an OK developed plot. It was a hilariously good episode except for the fact that no one could EVER make a shoe that advanced. Not even pros. So I think it could be like a talking keyboard or something that could actually happen. I would like to see better use of humor than just the normal. Although I do adore Dan (the creator) this one was not as good as Zoey 101 or Drake and Josh. But it was still on his awesome streak of being well.... awesome! Overall it was great. Anyone who loves thrillers for any age (but mostly kids) should watch it.. Highly recommended! ☺♥☻♪

Carly,Sam and Freddie get 350,000 views for iCarly and get sponsered from the shoe company Daka. Spencer falls asleep on the bus and ends up in Canada and stops taking public transportation and invents stuff how to travel by other things where he wants to go. Sam hires her own personal chef Carly buys alot of cloths and Freddie buys a new laptop. Carly,Sam and Freddie find out that the shoe company is cheating on them because the shoes have big problems like exploding wiping out computer information and shocking when you put the shoes in water. This episode was great and it was funny and I watched it 4or5 times.

Carly, Sam and Freddie get an offer from Daka shoes to advertise their new product on iCarly. They are paying them $100,000. They are excited, but things go wrong when the new shoe isn't what it's cracked up to be. It shocks Carly, squeaks all the time, and falls apart. When they try to get out of their contract, Daka says they're willing to sue. Spencer helps out by finding the loophole in the contract. They get out of the contract and get paid even more.

This episode was pretty good! Out of Carly, Freddie, and Sam's things they bought, I would want Freddie's laptop. This episode gets a 9.0 out of 10!

"iGot A Sponsor" was an awsome episode. It was one of my favorite of iCarly so far. iCarly should really have more episodes like this. And as I said before, I LOVED IT! I want to watch it again but I can't find it anywhere. It mixed funny with serious which is just the way I like my shwos and episode (and my girls) :D Dan did an awsome job writing this one. It will always be remembered as an iCarly classic. As soon as its avalible for download, im gonna get it on my ipiod and watch it over and over and over again.

So, Freddie is telling Carly and Sam that their last webcast had the biggest audience in iCarly history, they cheer. Then Carly gets an e-mail from Daka Shoes, they want to see the iCarly Crew at their office. They tell them that on every webcast, all they have to do is supprt their new shoes, and they get $8,000 a month. Who wouldn't accept? But when the shoes explode, shock people, crash internet servers, and more, the iCarly Crew goes back to the Daka Shoes Office to tell them of the flaws, but they do not seem to care. They say that the crew signed a legally binding contract, and there was no way to back out of it without being sued. But kids at school threaten to stop watching iCarly! But Spenser comes to the rescue with a good old loop-hole!!

    ************************************************************

It was not one of the good episodes. It didn't make me laugh much though, and was kind of boring at some parts. I hope they do better with the next new episodes, I think that iCarly has more potential than to produce better episodes than this. But it was still an okay episode, but I know that Dan can do way better!
  • Very good episode once again.

One thing I expected was too show a bit of the episode with Spencer actually in Canada. That's the way they described it, but they didn't do much for it. As for everything else, it's nice to have a lot of money, ALL IN CASH! Although the shoes were a rip off, it was a very good deal. $100,000 to sponsor a new shoe, I would do that in a second!

And although Spencer only went to law school for 3 days (72 hours), Spencer was right to know that every contract has a loophole. So it was clever idea to still say nothing but "good things" about the shoes while showing everyone how bad they were. this episode was very cleverly plotted and I thought it was nice for Carly to use her shoe money to but Spencer a motorcycle.
