OK this episode is about Freddie's new friend guest stars on iCarly and Carly and Sam like him so they figure out who's gonna get him. Meanwhile, the elevator is broken so Spencer tries to fix it. I thought this was a poor iCarly. Now the subplot was actually funny but the main plot wasn't good at all. I thought that Carly and Sam were being immature with Shane, well the first half they weren't but starting at the end of the first half they were. Now i did laugh only once at the main plot it was kind of a chuckle but when Shane was knocked out in the hospital Carly kisses him and says "I win!" If it wasn't for the subplot this episode might have been a 1 or a 1.5. One more thing i didn't like about the plot was that everyone was thinking that Shane would be ugly because he was a nerd and Spencer even thought that because he said " For a nerd your hot." When he saw him. Now just because some one is smart doesn't make him a nerd. This episode could've been a lot better. Overall 4/10.
This episode WAS NOT BAD!!! I just loved the plot. But .5 points were deducted because Carly says I win when she kisses Shane! I though Shane has to kiss them!!!!
I usually don't actually laugh out loud when I'm watching iCarly, but today was different, I've watched this episode before, but I forgot how funny it was. I came in watching this episode on TV not really expecting much but I laughed throughout the entire episode. We've got great dynamics between all the characters. I loved the "Maybe 3... 4" joke.
It was genuinely entertaining watching Sam & Carly trying to kiss Shane. Also Spencer is always funny and things were definitely no different here. Loved how the plots came together with the elevator shaft. Shane falling down it seemed too dark for Nickelodeon, especially when all Carly cared about was the kiss at the end, but hey it was funny. Great premiere.
This episode was definitely unforgettable. I especially enjoyed Carly's summary of the arm muscle event -- I applauded her after hearing it: Miranda must have taken forever to get those lines nailed and to a crisp. The last few episodes of the show's first season induced me to become nervous about this episode. This was a great way to start off iCarly's second season. I definitely felt so excited and into this episode. I have never felt this way that often, unless watching That's So Raven or something on Disney Channel. iCarly is definitely one of my top ten favorite shows and I am looking forward to more excitement from Carly, Freedie, Sam, Spencer, Mrs. Benson, and the rest of the gang! iLove iCarly
iCarly, Nick's breakout hit, has another season and unfortunately while this is a good show, this episode was not. Maybe it is because a college age guy cannot relate to two 14 year old girls fighting over someone, but I just think this was a dumb storyline, relatable or not.
There were a few good laughs here, but I would have liked something actually relating to the web show and not their personal life. Usually I am not a fan of the actual iCarly web show segments, but here I was praying for more of it.
Sam and Carly dating is inevitable on this show, but they could have done a better job than this.
Sam and Carly both want Freddie's new friend Shane, so they soon begin to fight over him. They both agree that whoever kisses him first should be able to date him, so they both go to extreme measures to get their kiss.
Spencer hires someone to fix the elevator. Not the best choice for whom he hires.
In the end, Carly and Sam fight too much over Shane, and so he walks out... and falls down the elevator and goes to the hospital.
Perhaps I have seen this one too much or something, it is a good episode but certainly not one of their better ones
This is the first episode for season 2 and some things change a little bit, Carly seems to be a little bit more of a priss, not meaning I hate her, Spencer seems to act different, but I don't know why, and Freddie's voice starts to get deeper. Here's what happened,Freddie's friend, Shane came over to Carly's apartment, while Carly & Sam were doing their webshow, Shane came in and Carly and Sam got a crush on him. Meanwhile the evelvator downstairs is stuck and Spencer tries to get it fixed. Carly and Sam try to find out who saw Shane first, that way they could find out who gets him, it was a tie, and now they make a challenge with eachother to see who can kiss him first for atleast up to 3 seconds. They try their best but fail, it all ends up with Shane falling down the elevator and getting sended to the hospital, when Sam, Freddie,& Spencer leave the room Carly kissed Shane and won the bet. I only rated this an 8, cause it was kinda annoying to me that they kept on talking about Shane. I give it a C+.
Carly and Sam both like a guy named Shane. They decide that whoever he kisses first gets to go out with him; but he has to kiss one of them, they can't initiate the kiss. So they come up with various schemes to get him to kiss them. Sam comes up with the idea of fainting on the floor, she wants Shane to give her "mouth-to-mouth rescuscitation." But then the big school nurse tries to give her electric prongs to get her heart started, so she has to stop. Carly comes up with the idea of a play, where Shane has to kiss her as part of the plot, but is interrupted by Spencer. Finally, Shane falls down the elevator shaft, and ends up in the hospital. Carly kisses him and says "I win" but she didn't really. A pretty silly episode.
this was a great way for iCarly to kick off its season (with iSaw Him First). the new opening (when you hear the theme song) was AWESOME. read my review, but SPOILER ALERT! i reveal things that happen in the episode...
my whole family (mom, dad, me, and two sisters one older one younger) watched iSaw Him First together and we were all laughing really hard -- even my dad (when shane fell down the elevator). it was a great episode because it showed how friends can get caught up in a competition and get mad, but then realize that being friends is more important that a guy. shane was HOT! so cute i love him and hope he comes back. all in all i think this episode was excellent and i cant wait to see the next one which is called iStage An Intervention which i think will be about SPENCER so you know it will be hilarious. go iCarly!
iLove "iCarly", but if you read my review on the show, this is exactly why I thought that I would hate this series. It seems like an adult's perception of "teenage girls"- one minute they are each others' "BFF's" the next second, they are bitter enimies. Also, as the show goes on into a new season, it seems like they changed the characters. For example, we see a side of Carly that we never have seen before, a side where she can be ruthless, immature (which we have seen, but it was always in a comical fashion), and even a sort of backstabber. I like the old, sweet, caring, mature Carly a lot better, in fact, I would even like to be friends with someone like her in Season 1 (I would never be friends with the Carly I saw last night!) And Sam, instead of being all agressive and tomboyish, she seems all girly all of a sudden (although you still got to old Sam when she pushed the heavyset nurse, I wouldn't be friends with Sam, but I love seeing old Sam on TV.) Freddie seems like the only one who has grown up, yet he is the only one who shouldn't have. It's not about his new voice, I like that (although it will take some getting used to.) It just seems like all of a sudden, he is all quiet and serious, not like the old talkitive laid-back Freddie. Overall, I think this was the worst episode of "iCarly", but I think there were some funny parts (Sam pushing the nurse, Shane falling (although then I became worried about him), etc.) I hope that Season 2 improves, and the next episode looks really cool. I am not insulting any of the actors, writers, producers, or anyone else who wrote this episode, but I did not like it.
Well, lemmecomment on the comeback on iCarly. First of all, I don't like Freddie's new voice. But, what can you do?
Anyways, it's a cool episode. Jelousy, ain't it? Anyways, Carly and Sam fight over Freddie's friend, Shane. And, Spencer needs help with the elevator, but, later.
So, Carly and Sam decieds to go on the contest; if Shane kisses one of the girls lip to lip first, they get to date him first. And, boy, that's gonna go into a fight club! Eventually, Shane then drops onto the elevator, and he's into broken pieces.
I really didn't like the ending. I thought Shane would die. Also, I don't think it was fair that Carly kissed him. She says that she won, but, infact, she kissed him, when Shane has to kiss her. Sheesh. The ending was a bit bad, but, anyways, it's funny.
I just watched this episode a few seconds ago. I thought it was solid. There were some good moments, and very annoying moments. Let me start off with the annoying moments. First, Carly and Sam are STILL making those annoying animal sounds. They are acting like crazy kids just to get to kiss a very attactive boy. On the other hand, there were plenty of good moments. My favorite was when Carly kissed Shane in the hospital while he was sleeping. Anoter good moment was when Carly and Shane were doing the acting from the play that Carly invented. It's tough when two girls love a boy. Fights tend to break out. That's what Carly and Sam did. I still wish that they would act more maturly. It gets annoying when they keep acting like kids jacked up on Red Bull. Maturity, and being yourself is what wins over your crush :). Overall, solid episode, season two kick-off episode, childish acting, and animal sounds which are annoying, love conquers all! Excellent way to start off the second season of iCarly :), but still, PLEASE be mature!!!!!
