Watch out for Sams' butter sock! iTake On Dingo is a fully reconizable funny and charming entry in the series.
  • Unbelievable. My six year old daughter watched Nickelodeon at grandma's. Tonight she is scared because and I quote, "I keep thinking about people getting their heads cut off."

Unbelievable. My six year old daughter watched Nickelodeon at grandma's. Tonight she is scared because and I quote, "I keep thinking about people getting their heads cut off." After talking to her I find out it is because she watched iCarly. Needless to say, anyone lets their kids watch Nickelodeon deserves the society we have and the children we are turning out. Shame on anyone who allows Nickelodeon to be watched by children!

  • This episode was actually pretty good and funny (for the most part). Although, it does have its moments of being flawed.

I thought that this was a great episode of "iCarly". When I saw the promo of this episode about a couple of years ago, it didn't interest me at all but I decided to give it a chance anyways. After all, you want to give something a chance before you judge it. I must admit that this episode is actually pretty good. Although, like almost all of the "iCarly" episodes, it does have its moments of being flawed. Not too much flaws in this episode though. I would say it has 2 flaws and this episode is pretty good so it's an episode I can watch again whenever I need some good laughs. Maybe not the funniest episode I've ever seen but it's FAR from being a horrible episode (to be honest). Although, I do quite understand why some people don't like this episode but I like this episode so it's not a problem to me. One of the flaws I did have with this episode was that the Dingo people who stole ideas from "iCarly" were getting a little irritating and kinda get me angry. Also, they just had to put in a hobo joke in this episode. Come on, I bet the hobos that watch some of the "iCarly" episodes get offended. Then again, hobos wouldn't have television but still... Dan needs to think about the people's feelings in this episode. I think those the only flaws that this episode had. After all, I did say this episode only had two flaws. Despite a couple of flaws, there were some very funny parts. Sam repeatedly smacking the Dingo people with the butter sock is hilarious and probably the funniest part out of the entire episode. Even though it's an insult to the hobos, I found it a little funny when Carly is getting the hobo out of the bathtub. Spencer and Freddie also getting the frozen head of "Charles Dingo" is very funny. Also, their hotel turning out to be very crappy just had to make me laugh. Those two Dingo dudes throwing dog food at each other while in a bikini LIVE on iCarly as part of their revenge for stealing the iCarly crew's ideas was very funny and an excellent way to end this great episode. Overall, this was a great episode of "iCarly" and while it's not the funniest episode I've seen... it's FAR from being a terrible episode in my opinion. 8/10

What I liked: Freddie and Spencer finding the head of Charles Dingo, and then it being used as blackmail later on, the butter sock, the ending with Carly and Sam making the two guys be on their show, etc.

Good episode. It was kind of low on humor but I felt both plots worked pretty well, even if one is bizarre (it's based on the myth that Walt Disney's head is frozen). C+/B- as my final grade
  • Adult content.

I'll preface this review by saying that I do not watch this show, and caught it while channel surfing.

This show, being on Nickelodeon, is obviously aimed at teenagers. So, you might understand my dismay at having seen a young woman, despondent over something having to do with her wedding dress, or lack thereof, and walking upstairs to her room (presumably), and then being followed by her "friend" who brings a bottle of liquor to calm down the girl.

I drink. I see nothing wrong with adults drinking responsibly. But, to do so on a show on a TV station best known for kiddie fare, such as "Rugrats" and "Spongebob Squarepants", it is reprehensible that the producers, directors, and writers, much less the actors, would stoop to this purposely shocking bit. The fact that they just as easily have substituted ice cream or chocolates for the liquor, banal as that is, shows that they purposely went for the shock value.

    Shame on the show!

The iCarly crew finds out that the Dingo channel is stealing their show. Then they hunt the producers down and Carly and Sam go to their studio and complain. Then Sam whacks the producers with her sock full of butter. Then Carly and Sam make the producers swear not to do it again.

This is a great episode! No flaws in this episode. It is the greatest episode that I have ever seen and it is my favorite episode. I do not have a thing to hate about this episode. I give this episode a perfect 10 out of 10.

Good episode. Some parts were really funny! Like all the parts with the really really reallly really strange old man. He was all touching Carly's hair!

I hate the dingo writers. They are so uncreative and foolish. I'm glad Sam beat them up with words and a butter sock! Haha. The Freddie/Spencer part was weird, but it did provide the resolution.

Gibby was funny saying he will dress in the bikini! I like the ending because the so called "writers" diserved it. Why didn't all the writers have to do it? They were all wrong. Overall a pretty good episode .

A nice parody of the Disney Channel here with the Dingo Channel. I love Nickelodeon even though I am older than their target demographic, but Disney is just awful. Spencer was dead on when he described their shows as having stupid jokes and making the parents look stupid, something Nick does as well.

I could not believe they got a respected actor like Joshua Malina to play one of the Dingo writers (he must have kids who like iCarly.) The scenes at their headquarters were great, I thoroughly enjoyed them because I too am someone who hates when shows steal jokes.

    Good episode.

I absolutely could not stand this episode!I was actually watching the clock to see how much longer I had to watch this!I felt like turning the station, that's how much I disliked this episode. All I could think was that the 'Dingo' Channel was a stab at Disney.Who by the way,has more and better shows.I love iCarly, don't get me wrong, but this episode was just plain boring.I did not even feel like I was watching iCarly!I felt like I was a different, new show that was trying to be funny. For example,Sam's 'butter sock'.All I could think was,'Great,a butter sock! How funny!'I could have this episode labeled wrong, but I don't think so.
  • In every way, this episode is easily the worst Icarly episode to date.

The issue of this episode is supposed to be that people are stealing Icarly's ideas, yet the real issue is the lame jokes and terrible acting that prevent this episode from being good. There is very little good jokes. The "buttersock", the frozen head, and Samantha's awful Icarly idea is a perfect example of the lame jokes. At the hotel, which is terrible, a hobo often annoys the group of kids, which is quite tiresome the first time. Hobos? Aren't they mentioned in nearly every Icarly episode? God, Dan, get new ideas. Everyone in this episode acts weirdly. Notably the Dingo writers, which, even though they have the right to steal ideas as they aren't copyrighted, seem quite heartless. Then again, if people just learned that they were stealing ideas now, they must mean that Icarly is more popular. When Sam tries to beat them up, it is very pathetic.

This is the worst episode in one of the worst shows ever. Hooray.

Sam and Freddie got word from a friends that a show on the Dingo channel is stealing from iCarly. After school Sam and Carly watch the show to see if they are stealing from iCarly and it was with a segemnt called 'Messin with Rupert' just like Messin with Lewbert. Spencer told them the Dingo Studio held the head of the person who made the Dingo channel somewhere in the basement. Carly, Sam and Freddie wanted to go complain to the network and Spencer took them to Hollywood. they got there and had a gross apartment and had a hobo next door. Carly and Sam went to go complain to Dingo, while Spencer and Freddie go and find the head. To make a long story short Carly and Sam forced them to say they will never steal from iCarly again and Spencer and Freddie found the head. I think iCarly might improve from now on, this was another great episode! Final Grade: B-
  • Carly and Sam confront thieves who ripped off iCarly while Spencer and Freddie search for the frozen head of Charles Dingo.

I think this is the best episode of iCarly! Freddie and Sam find out from a girl at school that a show called "Totally Terry" has ripped off iCarly's Random Dancing bit. Later, Sam and Carly watch the show and a segment called "Messin' with Rupert" is shown, an obvious ripoff of "Messin' with Lewbert." Carly, Sam, Freddie and Spencer go to Hollywood. Carly and Sam confront the thieves while Freddie and Spencer search for the frozen head of Charles Dingo. The thieves tell Sam and Carly that they will keep stealing from iCarly and there's nothing the girls can do about it. In the end, Carly and Sam, Freddie and Spencer get the thieves to swear on that they won't steal from iCarly anymore by threatening to reveal the frozen head of Charles Dingo on iCarly.

I absolutely love this episode! It was especially funny to see Carly freak out about the hobo in their hotel. This was an episode that was worked hard on and I think iCarly is going uphill again! I was actually hoping this episode go on just a little bit longer. I can't wait for the next one!

    ICarly,

iTake on Dingo, - In this episode Carly and friends are told by some people that a show on the Dingo channel has been stealing some of ICarly's idea for their own show. Carly and friends then tune in and see this taking place. Then they plan to go down to L.A to talk to the writers. Spencer refuses to drive down because it is a 9 hour drive. He goes because he wants to find the frozen head of Dingo creator. So they go and stay at the hotel were Sam's mom gets her face surgery at. And a hobo lives out the window named Hollywood. The kids go the studio and find out, yes they have been stealing the ideas and no they wont stop stealing the ideas. Spencer and Freddie find the head in the basement. After the writers refuse to stop stealing, they use the frozen head the stole to black mail the writers, the writers give in and promice to stop stealing ideas from ICarly. In the end they get some of the writers to play in dog food. Overall another great episode funny from start to end
