  • This show just really suck

Idaten Jump is probably one of the worst animes of all time. The show is very repetitive. The same animations are used everytime, the characters are very lame, the character designs are very unoriginal and very crappy. Also, the episodes are pretty much the same as the other episodes. Two bike riders go against one another and whoever wins gets a stupid emblem. They tried to make it kinda cool but to no avail. It just sucks no matter how you look at it.
No one should watch this show. It is horrible and you are going to regret watching it liked I did.
  • It may not be fast cars, but they sure as hell are fast bikes.

One day, top Mountain Bike Racer Sho Yamato, and his friends Kakeru Sakamaki and Makoto Shido were racing against a team named Team Shark Tooth. During the race, a black cloud appeared from the ground, and sucked them into another world, the X-Zone. In the X-Zone, people race MTBs in giant race tracks in attempt to win emblems from each other. Legend has it that anyone who collects 10 Gold Emblems can return back to the real world.

It's true, this show is highly underappreciated. At first when I watched it, I was wondering who the hell came up with such a stupid idea. But after watching a few episodes, and after the story started progressing, I started to enjoy it. There are a few lame jokes here and there, and some of the voice casting can get annoying, but all in all, this show is pretty good. The animation is great, there are many interesting characters, and the races are always fun to watch.
  • If you’re open minded enough to appreciate the Japanese culture references and the great jokes the translators throw in, this show turns out to be an more than decent. It's basically the Japanese sequel to plan 9 from outer space

Each year, more and more people cry out for all things Japanese, more toys, anime, video games, and all else you can think of. The one thing that confuses me is when the networks get a hold of a show like "BO-BO-BO", that legitimately reflects Japanese culture, and the audiences shun it, and go back to worship violent ninja cartoons. Idaten Jump is another great example, its about bicycling, a popular activity in Japan, due to the high population density, but misunderstood here because a greater majority ride skateboards, and prefer sitting in the street under the hot California sun, while saying "Dude, Gnarly", instead of watching TV. The translators of this show are the real stars, they wrote all the great jokes featured in this show, and watered down the Japanese culture reference, so even stoners could understand, which is ok, because they replaced gibberish with jokes, and make fun of Britney spears, occasionally.
