Ihaka: Blunt Instrument is a 2001 television movie about a reprimanded
police officer who manages to break one of Sydney, Australia's most
mysterious cases. Detective Sergeant Ihaka (Temuera Morrison) plays an
officer who is sent from Auckland to Sydney, Australia to learn better
police techniques after botching an earlier arrest. Once there, as one
of his tasks, he is directed to research the facts of a "thrill kill"
murder case that happened three years earlier. During his research,
Ihaka finds evidence that was previously ignored and new findings that
could lead him to the killer.
