In this episode of In A Fix, the designer and her team of builders have the perfect antidote for a homeowner headache. Cornelis and Renee have been married for two years. He's a CCU nurse and she's a graphic designer. When Cornelis moved in three years ago, he promised to renovate their home and got as far as the kitchen and living areas. The kitchen now consists of angular tiling because he didn't want to cut them. The ceiling is covered with large strips of styrofoam because he thought it would suffice as insulation. He was also supposed to convert another room, once a garage, into a home office for Renee-a creative space where she can work from home while tending to their kids. That room soon became a storage pit-a cluttered, steaming-hot, styrofoam insulated area they can barely walk through. Renee wants her and Cornelis to spend more time participating in activities they love, like rollerblading. But with all the clutter, she can't even find the skates. He claims to not have the time and doesn't have a clue as to where he will store everything, but wants her to stop nagging. She says he hasn't kept his promise and is skating on thin ice. She is tired of him dragging his feet and they both want their headache to go away. The In A Fix team rolls in as designer Nani uses her Elements of Creativity plan to covert a cluttered, steamy add-on into a Designer's Den.moreless
