  • Filler episode.

Never before have I been so bored with an In Plain Sight episode. Even when the story or acting is a little phoned in you usually get a good laugh or two and do not feel inclined to smash the television you are watching the broadcast on. But such was not the case tonight as this was a lackluster episode from the get go and featured one of my least favorite actresses in the form of the only unfunny member of That 70's Show Laura Prepon.

Let's hope they can rebound from this outing, because this garbage was inexcusable for such a good show.moreless
  • Mary and Marshall must discover if an ex-con is responsible for a stabbing as the same thing seems to happen around him all the time. Jinx comes home from the rehab center and is blindsided by a letter delivered by her husbands daughter.moreless

A pretty amazing story in this episode. Both parts were quite good. I think the family story was a little more impact full but the main plot was well done and the acting was great.

Colin the former biker is a great guy. What he was doing for these people who worked for him was terrific. Mary was feeling very guilty about bringing Dennis to his shop. The final results was not expected and it would be interesting to see what comes of all of these people who were involved.

Laura Prepon as Lauren was a shocker. She was wonderful as Mary and Brandi's half sister. She and Mary could almost be fraternal twins in their mannerisms and looks. They don't look identical but they definitely looked alike. What a bomb to have dropped on Jinx right after the treatment center. Will she and Brandi tell Mary eventually. As we have seen in the past it is not good to keep information from Mary. People who do tend to get into trouble and then Mary has to bail them out.

The relationship between Stan and Eleanor is being slowly revealed. You still wonder if she is the same woman from Sam's first case, but obviously she was married in between to a fine man. We'll see where this goes.

We also get to see Raphael for just a minute. I actually miss that character. Hopefully we'll see more of him as the episodes get back to more Mary centric which they weren't for a while till this current one. Superb episode and well written and acted. It was good to see a Mary episode again after some where Mary was maybe secondary. Jinx and Brandi always seem to bring some friction to Mary's life and maybe that's what this show needs sometimes to keep it going. Thanks for reading...moreless
