"I have no bedside manner…I have a gun and a badge." Priceless. That pretty much sums up Shannon. Despite her overbearing condescending tone, she always does right by her witnesses. This episode followed its traditional angle but with a twist. Turns out in this witness's life, her past was always right there side by side with her. She was hiding her boyfriend in plain sight. Imagine that. The daughter was different too. I think this was the first time that Shannon was protecting someone that didn't know about it. The case really hit home for Shannon too and she was able to see a little of herself in the sunny beauty pageant contestant. Not the tiara part but the fugitive mom part. When I first noticed it was going to be about a beauty pageant contestant, I thought this was going to be another JonBenét Ramsey story. You know, the parents go overboard in the 'I want my daughter to be a queen' event and where viewers get a dirty look into the charade of sequins and hairspray. I was pleasantly surprised that the story had nothing to do with the unappetizing realms of beauty pageants minus the weird comment of baby food at the end. Yuck! I really enjoy Marshall's new love interest. It is about time that he found someone that stuck around for more than episode. I can't imagine the one guy that I was skeptical about his sexual orientation doesn't like massages though. I thought he would be a regular right alongside his trips to the nail salon. Nonetheless, I'm really glad he caved and tried to please his girlfriend.

I'm also glad to see that Shannon is making an effort in the wedding plans for her sister. I can't tell much of a difference from white and eggshell either so it says a lot about our favorite female buck to make an effort. It is kind of funny watching how she handles each task as well.moreless
