The episode's title is a play on the film The Bourne Identity, but I would probably rather watch the overhyped action film than this episode. In Plain Sight has undergone a serious makeover in its third season, and while I have made it clear I do not like it, my opinion is not changing anything. The show is not even trying to be funny right now, and Mary Shannon, who once provided some wit along with her entertaining take on the role, is just another serious tough female cop, something that is a dime a dozen on TV these days. The role has lost all its originality.moreless
  • Homeless man saves the day!

    8.5
In this episode of In Plain Sight, the following happens. When a homeless man spots a bomb being put into a bin at a local park, he is instantly a hero for saving so many lives. But he has to go into Witness Protection, since the people who planted the bomb, may come after him.

He has only one request to track down his birth mother. And so Mary and Marshall manage to track her down, but she is very ill. They get the witness there, but it is too late, she has died. But her husband is there, who turns out to be his birth father. They have a chat, but then all too quickly its time to leave.

As the episode ends, we see him testifying and then being moved to California, still in W.P. so that he can spend time with his father.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • On the computer screen that shows the info about Walter's birth mother, a line in the top section shows her date of birth as June 6, 1961. In the next section, it shows her birth date again, but this time it is listed as June 13, 1961.

    • Goof: There should have been no reason for Walter to not be able to see Damon again since he never knew him in his old life and identity.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Brandi: I gotta learn all this nutrition junk, like head to toe. Turns out, mom had it all wrong. Espresso chased with a Virginia Slim-- not a balanced breakfast.
Mary: Bourbon's not a food group?
      Brandi: I don't think so.

    • Mary: (voiceover) I once dated a guy who loved the independence of living on his own. Chugging from the carton in the middle of the night. He said the isolation was a trade-off he could live with. I thought I had hit the mother lode. Then he told me he was going to clown camp.
