Natasha, the Ukrainian accountant, with her new breasts, has her life complicated when she finds out that her new boyfriend is also in the Witness Protection Program.
  • Way below average

Sometimes you have to get used to seeing the odd bad episode from your regular shows, but this one was way below the average in plain sight episode that im used to watching every week.

its a brilliant show, really, but any more of these episodes could seriously threaten the shows future.

in my opinion it was a boring and very obvious storyline, it never left you in the dark because you knew what was going to happen scene after scene.

hopefully the next episode is back up to standard and isnt so boring to watch.

overall, i have to give this ep a 7 out of 10.moreless
  • Brandi fools her sister into thinking she is leaving to go back to New Jersey. She stays and goes to a seedy motel to set up a drug sale. Mary and Marshall must deal with a couple of amorous witnesses that have somehow found one another.moreless

    "Superb"
This was pretty heavy duty in the non Marshall side of the plot and really shows you how desperate people can be some times. Brandi feels all she has left is her relationship with Chuck so no matter how bad that is she agrees to make the deal to sell the Meth. While making the arrangements she finds a baby that belongs to the drug buyers hidden in the tub in the motel bathroom and in a touching moment gives the baby her teddy bear and gives her some sage advice, "whatever advice your parents give you don't follow it".

Meanwhile Mary and Marshall are dealing with problems of their own. Tasha, Mary's charge from the Pilot episode ends up with a boyfriend so she invites Mary and Marshall to meet him. It turns out to be another Russian witness Sergei who is a con-artist that is one of Marshall's charges in the witness program. When they all accidentally get together the two witnesses are so happy they have found each other. Both decide they will leave the program if forced to give each other up. Mary of course is suspicious of Sergei and starts to do a little investigating much to Marshall's chagrin.

Back to Brandi, she decides to give the baby a chance and calls the police on the drug buyers getting them all arrested. You know that this is going to end badly. She watches from across the street in a cab as they are taken away.

Back with the lovers, Marshall has done a little digging into Mary's information and finds that Sergei has a huge number of domain names he is running maybe as scams. SexySerg.com turns out to be a voyeurs web site and Tasha is one of many of the featured stars. Marshall and Mary break in on the two of them and arrest Sergei and save Tasha. Brandi shows up at Raphael's house with nowhere to go and then of course Mary walks in on them doing nothing (her head is in his lap but he and she are fully clothed) and leaves feeling betrayed by both. How many times has this happened so far?

Great plot and a little out of character as the personal stuff was more important than the professional stuff this time. It is usually the other way around. Another strong episode.

    Thanks for reading...moreless
  • Two people in Witness Protection start dating without even realsing that they are both hiding the same secret

    9.0

In this episode of In Plain Sight, the following happens. The person in Witness Protection in this episode is a man by the name of Sergei Mijnic. Mary soon learns that Sergei is dating one of her other Witness who is still in protection. Soon when they all met up, it becomes obvious to both of the couple that they are both in the Witness Protection Programme. Due to this both of them may have to be re-located. But then woman says that she can't leave Sergei and if she has too, she will opt out of the programme. Mary's sister gets in over her head when she does a favour for her old boyfriend, Chuck. When she learns that they have a baby hidden in the room, she calls the cops on the them and they get arrested and the baby is taken into care. Soon after going through Sergei's computer files, Mary and Marshall discover his website, which is full of Sergei having sex with many women. When the woman finds out about it, she flips out. Both of them are now being re-located.moreless
  • Meandrous, Cons, Lies

    8.5
    "Great"
In this episode we come somewhat full circle, showing again how the Marshall's continue to assist their witnesses throughout their protection periods. This was a humorous episode where two witnesses find eachother, even though they don't know they're both in WITSEC. This episode takes us through a winding road of lies, lies and more lies. As Mary's witness Tasha meets Marshall's witness Serge. Serge is a scum-bag who uses women and sells videos of him in intimate situations with them. In addition to that winding road of interest, we have Brandi ... keeping secrets from Mary. In an attempt to get back together with her boyfriend, Chuck, Brandi seems to be getting into even more trouble. The meandrous storyline is irresistable. Mary's life is getting more and more complex. Can't wait to see what happens next!moreless
  • Mary and Marshall clash over their witnesses and Brandi gets herself into trouble.

    9.0
    "Superb"
When Mary and Marshall find out that their witnesses are dating, sparks fly. Mary thinks that Marshall's con artist witness is up to his old tricks and her witness could be a victim of his. At first, their meeting seems coincidental, but Mary doesn't give up when she knows she's right - even if it means crossing some lines and irritating her partner. Then comes the problem of whether or not to separate them. Mary tries to push Stan for a relocation because she's sure that her witness was somehow going to get hurt. Eventually, with Marshall's help she's proven right.
With every episode I look forward to Mary/Marshall moments and this one did not disappoint. She did say that she loved him - not exactly the way I'd hoped or imagined, but it was cute, and maybe I've finally cracked and am in need of anti psychotics - it looked like they both blushed after she said it. It was also sweet that Marshall had someone decrypt the drive even though he fought with Mary about it at first. I have to admit, one of the things I liked most about this episode was Brandi (and I know that there are going to be a lot of people that are going to disagree with me, oh well. I'll just have to brace myself.) I used to hate her character for being so self centered and downright obnoxious, but over the past few episodes she seems to be at least trying to grow up a bit and I think that it had to do with Raf. Since she had to take care of him for Mary and they got to know each other she is slowly becoming more likable. With Raf, she had someone to talk to and who would listen to her. I know that Raf is - or was - Mary's boyfriend, but it's not as if she and Mary are that close or that Raf and Mary were the perfect couple, not that it's an excuse. She started developing a crush on him, but nothing other than crushing on him happened. I just felt sorry for her because her sister asked her to step in and take care of Raf for her and when she started liking spending time with him everyone assumed that she was either sleeping with him or attempting to. Her family didn't ask if she was, they just believed the worst. At least it looks like there's a chance that her relationship with Mary just might be salvaged. I liked the sisterly moment that they had at the airport when Mary told her that she didn't have to go back home. I also liked that her teddy bear meant so much to her because Mary gave it to her when she was five, and she ended up giving it to the baby. I suppose that she saw herself in that baby being raised by people who have no idea how to care for a child. It was also sad how she showed up at Raf's place crying.
I know that she messed up BIG TIME by keeping drugs at Mary's place (do her and Jinx know that Mary's a marshall yet?) and for getting mixed up with Chuck's drug dealing, but at least she didn't go through with it, even with the promise of a big time payout. Brandi's a complex character and I hope that they manage to redeem her character and that they find a way to work on her relationship with Mary.moreless

She's referencing Prime Time Productions' film The Secret (2006), directed by Drew Heriot and produced by Rhonda Byrne and Paul Harrington, relating the Law of Attraction which consists of three basic steps (ask, believe and receive).
