    After watching the first 11 episodes of Season 2 of In Plain Sight I found myself bombarded with other tasks so I did not able to get to see this episode until November. Still, I don't think not seeing these characters for months was the reason I was not exactly enthralled with this episode.

    The show has someone made a talented actor in Joshua Malina seem boring, and between Mary's sister and her fiance Raf, I want to bang my head against the wall. Mary McCormack is one of TV's best leading ladies, but the supporting cast of this show is dreadful.moreless

  • Martin Landau as Joe Tancreddi opts out of the WITSEC program after 40 years to go to his sons funeral. Marshall and Det. Dershowitz go with him back to Philly. Mary has to play tech adviser to a WITSEC training video and it helps her family life.moreless

    A very well balanced episode with two solid definitive parts to it. I really enjoyed the acting in this episode and Mary was really being Mary for the most part. In part one we have Marshall dealing with one of the first witnesses in the program who's son dies. After he is told by Marshall that his son has died he decides to opt out of the program so he can go to the funeral. Dershowitz knows the person and figures out who he was and he and Marshall accompany Joe Tancreddi played by Martin Landau on their own dime to his sons funeral. As Dershowitz explains, Tancreddi is a legend and it would be an honor. Obviously Marshall feels the same way.

    Mary is dealing with an assignment not made for her. A writer and director are putting together training videos for WITSEC. They were told that Stan and his Marshal's are the best in the business so they have come to Albuquerque to get advise and shoot some video. Mary doesn't even read the scripts and then finds out that what they are doing really is crap. She's says so and gets punted from the set. The director decides to take her suggestions to heart and a really good video is made.

    The really interesting part is at the end of the episode she takes her own advice and really talks with Raph about what she does and why she can't talk about it. Therefore taking some of the burden off their relationship and being open to the point she really is allowed too.

    Oh and Peter shows up with a forty thousand dollar Mercedes convertible and gives it to Brandi to drive. Does anyone else see any problems with that? Nice episode with a good message and a warm toasty feeling. Very enjoyable hour with a few slow points but overall very good. The Eleanor/Mary scenes are still fun. Thanks for reading...moreless
