In The Firing Line is a TV interview show that focuses on American
public affairs. The show's host, William F. Buckley, interviews guests
in front of a studio audience to find out their views about current
political issues. His own conservative views are usually made clear, and
the discussions can get quite heated. Buckley presented In The Firing
Line throughout the show's 33-year running period from 1966 to 1999,
during which time over 1,500 60-minute episodes were produced.
