When this episode was first broadcast, it was shown later in the season. Caroll O'Connor, who was the executive producer as well as the star of the show, felt the episode dealing with Althea's rape was a more powerful episode and he decided to hold off the broadcast of this episode until later in the season. Also, it was shown pretty much in flashback.
