I loved the show but hated Parker. He waas always so retarded. I thought that the rest of the cast fit so well. I always liked this show.

Aww, he was just a little 'special' that's all. True police men are not supposed to be special but how many folks in Sparta would want to be a cop there? So much crazy crime for such a small place. Hey, at least they left him to man the radio at the station for the most part. He He!

Now I kind of liked Parker. I can still see him drinking tea from his mason jar. He did have a way of talking to some people when others could not.

They did have a great cast for this show and I miss it not being on tv anymore.

Parker grew on me as time went by. For as bumbling and goofy as he was, he was also a tenderheart. One of my favorite scenes was the one in which he met the blind girl and you knew he was in love. Parker had the sight to see value in people that society might otherwise pass over.

i never though parker was retarded. even though he dont get what the cheif was trying to say. but he is a fun character. i like parker. i like when he was so upset with the cheif about the viteanmis boy for no reason.

Parker was needed to balance out the show he was a loveable charecter of whom grew on me!

I always thought he was a pretty good guy who got caught up in some crazy situations. Though me liking him might be due to the fact that one of the first episodes I ever saw was Good Cop, Bad Cop.
