Does anyone know if or when In The Heat Of The Night will be out on DVD as seasons?

I would love to see this show come out on dvd. I am not real sure who owns the rights to this show. It started out on NBC and then moved to CBS. I am not sure what the hold up is. But I have checked a few places and cannot see that it is set for release anytime soon.

I have most of the shows on VHS tape (I caught a marathon one weekend), but would love to have them on DVD for sure.

I totally agree. I loved it so. My Dad, taped some episodes for me on cassette tapes. I still listen to them. I enjoy 'em. I too, would love to get ALL seasons on DVD. I guess we'll be on the lookout.

i was planning on puttint them on DVD put for some reason KDOC stopped showing it. SO hopfully KDOC will re air it so I can record it on DVD.

well i have to wait for the next season to start or what until they start all over again in order, inorder for me to record them on dvd.

No indication that this oldie-but-goodie is coming out on DVD any time soon, but you can, however, get Season 1 on itunes, I've been told.

WGN is airing In the Heat of the Night. And I just found this out yesterday. They been aried it since September 15. and I have missed Season 1 and half of Season 2. So, right now I am recording the rest of Season 2 and all fo Season 3-8. So, hopefully WGN re-aires Seasons 1 and Season 2 again so that I can get the episodes that I have missed.

In The Heat Of The Night to stay on the WGN channel until SEPTEMBER 2011! And as for the show not being released yet on dvd,well that's up to MGM.Cause their the ones who own the rights to it.If you want the show to be released on dvd,you can go to www.tvshowsondvd.com and vote.But in order to that,you will either have to login/register.
In The Heat Of The Night:Season 1,can be downloaded for $12.99 on iTunes.

I love watching Heat of the night. I like watching Bubba and Parker. They get in to trouble all the time. I like watching older shows.

I wish you will put back Black sheep squadron back on. It has been 20 to 30 years since i have saw the show. That been awhile.
