As the season starts to roll down April's sessions have progressed to be some of the most enjoyable of the series. I dismissed them at the first, but they have had quite the turnaround and have become something that I look forward to every Sunday night.

The dialogue is always enjoyable between Paul and April, and often takes upon a much more jocular tone compared to the other patients. Some of the jokes fall flat though, and that leads to some bizarrely awkward moments, but for the most part April's sessions have become some incredibly good television on a loaded Sunday night lineup.moreless

    • April: You know what I like best about you?
Paul: What? My morbid sense of humor?
April: Your eyes... Your eyes are... bottomless.

    • April: Once I asked you not to give up on me.
Paul: And what did I say?
April: You said, 'Never. I just want to haze you for a while.'
Paul: What do you think I meant by that?
      April: You're testing me.
Paul: And how do you pass?
      April: I live.

    • Paul: It seems like the people in your life are very committed to you.
April: I have good taste in people.
Paul: I think it's more than that. I think that you demand incredible loyalty. So the only people you allow to get close to you are the people you feel that can measure up. People you feel that can really go the distance.

    • Paul: (to April) I am your therapist and you need a therapist, but you also need a caregiver and I cannot be both people.

    • Paul: April, you were very sick, but I crossed a line.
April: What line?! There's no line!
Paul: There needs to be a line if I'm to continue being your therapist.
April: You just drew the damn line!

    • Paul: We all have our fights to fight.

    • Paul: The ability to play out whole scenarios in your head... that's... that's the mark of a highly intelligent person.
      April: Really?
Paul: Yes. Yes, according to some studies.
April: And what do the other studies consider it a sign of?
      Paul: Utter insanity.
