  • Too bad more people have not found this show, because if they watched an episode like this one, they would be hooked.

Talk about reality TV. This isn't a reality show, but it sure feels like one. I think that is a compliment, when the viewer feels like they are intruding on someone's personal life.

April is the kind of young lady that you can go from disliking to wanting to hug in just a few minutes. When she can't even say the word Cancer out loud, and has to pass Paul a note to tell him what is bothering her, the moment is filled with concern and empathy for her. That is great writing, directing and TV at it's best.

I really like this show, and was pleasantly surprised when it returned for a 2nd season.moreless

Just after writing how gripping this season's premiere was we get an episode right on par with the near improbable standards set by its predecessor.

In this episode we learned the story of a young student who is struggling with life, and just learned some information that can further ruin it. Those great back-and-forths between Paul and his patient you got accustomed to in the first season were there, and the half-hour run time seemed to fly by.

Not much else can be said other than this season is off to an excellent start and hopefully In Treatment can lure in viewers despite it being a part of the ever so competitive Sunday night lineup.moreless

    • April: Am I talking too much? Paul: People don't usually ask that question in here. Edit
    • Paul: OK, I just want you to know that you don't have to apologize for anything in here. Anything that you say, you can't... You can't offend me. April: I can't? Paul: Well, of course you can, but... I can take it. What I mean is you don't have to censor yourself to spare my feelings. Edit
    • April: (talking to Paul about the other therapist Jennifer) Oh my God! I just told you the woman had oatmeal in her ears. She barely noticed me. I mentioned that my brother was autistic, that he took up a lot of my mother's time, and... she was like, 'That must've been hard for you. Do you think you're angry at your brother?' And I was like, 'I love my brother, but I could throw you off a bridge right now, bitch.' Edit
