Olivia: (to Paul) She [Sophie] promised she wouldn't go back to training unless you said it was okay.
Sophie: I never said that.
Olivia: (to Sophie) Twenty minutes ago, you said you wouldn't go back unless Paul...
Sophie: I'll listen to what Paul has to say, not do what he says. God, you're like the queen of selective hearing.

Sophie: If I don't try out for the Olympics, I'll kill myself. For real.
Paul: Sophie, enough. No more threats. No more.

Paul: Where do you think my confidence comes from?
Sophie: Special delivery from old people land.

Paul: So you think death is the only way to escape your mother?
Sophie: I'm pretty sure even death won't do.

Paul: I can't treat somebody that I don't love. I have to find something in each of my patients that I love. Otherwise I won't be able to treat them.
Sophie: I bet you had to search me with a magnifying glass to find something to love.

Paul: What does he [your father] do, do you think, to earn your love?
Sophie: Why?
Paul: Maybe I can steal his secrets and give them to your mom.
Sophie: Hilarious.

Olivia: It's my fault because I am here. Maybe I'll leave you alone for a few months and then maybe you can love me just a little.
