Unlike the last two battles in this one the racers start off side by side with the 86 taking the lead into the first corner but Takumi's lead would be short lived has Tomoyuki passes him rather easily using the technique called the "Disappearing line". However Takumi's unorthodox street racing style finds a way to adapt the technique used by Tomoyuki, by turning off his headlights.
