Episode Summary

January 5, 1983
Week 9 has just concluded, and our 8 postseason teams have been decided. Thanks to a victory over the Bills 30-19, the New England Patriots are once again in the postseason. Due to the strike that occurred earlier this season, which in turn shortened the season, there will be no 1st round byes for any team this postseason. That means all 8 teams that made the playoffs will all play next week. New England, Miami, Cleveland, and Los Angeles (Raiders) will represent the AFC, and Detroit, Washington, St. Louis, and Dallas will represent the NFC. Len and Nick discuss, with these 4 teams, who have the best chance to be in the Super Bowl, and which lower seeded teams could make a run in the postseason knocking out some of the higher seeds along the way.moreless
