January 7, 1987
The Divisional Round is in the books, and the Bears got a surprising loss at home to the Redskins 27-13 after the Bears offense could not get going at all against Washington's defense. Elsewhere, the Browns got a close victory 23-20 over the Jets, and the Broncos escaped town with a 22-17 victory over the Patriots. The Giants never made their game close as they were all over the 49ers 49-3 thanks to a great rushing day by Joe Morris and holding Joe Montana to under 130 passing yards. Next week the Giants host their NFC East rival the Washington Redskins as the Giants try to make their 1st Super Bowl while Washington is going for it's 3rd Super Bowl appearance. In the AFC, the Denver Broncos go to Cleveland to take on the Browns, as both teams are looking for their 1st Super Bowl victory. Cleveland is looking for it's 1st appearance in a Super Bowl while Denver is looking for their 2nd. Len and Nick make their predictions for Conference Championship Sunday and look forward to the Super Bowl from Pasadena.moreless
