Episode Summary

November 23, 1977
Weeek 11 has just completed, and with the Denver Broncos having their bye week this past Sunday, they now possess the best record in football at 10-1. Chuck Bednarik discusses the strengths and weaknesses of the "Orange Crush" there in the Mile High City. Al Meltzer looks at the potent offenses of not only Denver, but the other contenders of the league, including the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Colts, Oakland Raiders, and the Los Angeles Rams. Highlights from Week 11 are shown throughout the show, along with predictions for Week 12 matchups, including the Thanksgiving Day games. With only 4 weeks left in the NFL season, teams are trying to make a statement this week that they belong in the postseason. Teams like the Redskins and Dolphins need to start making moves if they are going to make the postseason. Al and Chuck discuss the reason why these and other borderline teams have what it takes to make it, and why each team could fall short of a postseason berth.moreless
