Episode Summary

November 29, 1989
Week 12 has concluded, and in the highly anticipated matchup between the Giants and 49ers, San Francisco won 34-24 by holding the Giants running attack to less than 60 yards. San Francisco made the Giants throw the ball more than they wanted to, forcing Simms to 2 interceptions which both led to 49ers touchdowns. San Francisco is now 10-2 and the #1 seed in the NFC for now, while the Giants are the #2 seed at 9-3. In the AFC, Denver put up 41 points on the Seahawks elevating them to 10-2, and #1 still in the AFC, with the closest team Cleveland now 2 games back after losing to the Detroit Lions 13-10. We are now at the three-quarters point in the season, and with only 4 games left to go as we approach December, Len and Nick look at the teams that should be safely in the postseason, and which teams need to start winning now to be playing in January.moreless
