AIRED:
Week 1 is in the books as Season 9 of Inside the NFL is just getting started. The defending Super Bowl Champion 49ers were defeated by the Minnesota Vikings at home 28-21, opening the door perhaps for a number of teams to take the NFC crown this season, like the Chicago Bears, who in their season opener scored 38 points in a win over Tampa Bay, the most in several seasons. Len and Nick discuss why fans and teams should look out for the Bears, Giants, and a resurgence in the Los Angeles Rams as teams to beat in 1985. Don't count out the Dallas Cowboys as they destroyed the Redskins 44-14 in their first of many games where the Dallas offense will be prevalent. In the AFC, the Dolphins lost their first game of the season to Houston, while the Raiders and the Patriots try to claim big name status with victories this week. The crew talks about which teams could surpass the Dolphins in the AFC and make it to Super Bowl XX in January.moreless
