In this episode viewers finally learn at least a little bit about Inspector Gadget's background. He received his gadgets from one Professor von Slickstein. Viewers also see Gadget's house for the first time, although only from the outside.
As is common with some Gadget episodes, this one takes place in an exotic location, the Amazon Basin. The MAD agents Gadget faces there are four men and a beautiful woman in tribal garb, which looks quite funny on the agents.
As soon as he arrives in the jungle, Gadget is hounded by an albino gorilla. When he first jumps on the Gadgetmobile, Gadget comically remarks: "This windshield is awfully dirty." It was a bit silly to have the gorilla later adopt the intellect of the professor.moreless
Deep in the Amazon, Dr. Claw plans world domination - with an army of Gadget-like androids.
