Inspector Gadget: Original Series

This episode was rolling along until the very end. It ended very suddenly and without any real battle between Gadget and the main MAD agent.



Gadget spends most of his time looking for Presto Change-O. Once he discovers that the shapechanger has already infiltrated the meeting, he enters the room and argues for a few seconds, and then Quimby identifies the real Gadget. I was a little disappointed. I was hoping Change-O might try to perform a few Gadget tricks, because he hadn't performed any throughout the show.



Despite the disappointing ending, there are a few exciting moments. The opening scene is lots of fun. Gadget is snared by two MAD agents in a speedboat. They entrap him in a cage and sink it in the river. I noticed that Gadget was driving his Gadgetmobile, most of the time, on the correct side of the road, but his wheel was still on the wrong side. The last scene shows Gadget getting in trouble for parking on the wrong side.



There was a pretty long scene with Dr. Claw speaking to Change-O. It's the longest scene I've ever seen Dr. Claw have. He had quite a few lines.
