I really enjoyed this episode. The MAD flying saucer was a neat idea, although an alien invasion is a little out there for a criminal plot. Most MAD plots are out there, so it works.

Gadget actually demonstrates a bit of aptitude with police work. He is approached by one of the MAD agents dressed as a Martian. Assuming the MAD agent to be a Venutian, since he doesn't believe in Martians, he is able to overpower him and handcuff him. He later stumbles upon three of the MAD agents robbing a jewelry store. He says they are under arrest and he has them take him to their leader, albeit he is carried there.

The opening scene with Gadget being chased in his Gadgetmobile by the MADmobile was exciting. Dr. Claw actually causes the Gadgetmobile to careen off the road and land upside down. He fires a laser at the car and thinks that he has destroyed Gadget. Since most Gadget episodes take place in exotic locations, viewers finally get to see a little more of Metro City here. Gadget meets Quimby in a park, and the MAD agents are delivered right outside the police station.moreless
