Martin Shaw is an excellent actor, one of my favourites and I'm really looking forward to watching this show. I have seen 3 episodes so far and been really impressed so I'm looking forward to watching more.

Great chemistry between the two actors. Good detective stories without having the detective glued to their mobile phone or doing simulations on lap tops. Funny with a bit of period detail. Much better than Foyle's War which hardly seems to bother having the detective do anything other than arrest the bad guy at the end.

now the 1st 8 episodes on netflex...i hope they will add more as they come avail...we don't see the series in the states...so much to like. the fact that it takes place in the 60's makes the stories much more compelling and rellevent from a social perspective. lee ingleby is a great actor too. his character is very unlikable. you don't often see one of the stars of a series as flawed as he is. in the usa it seems they are less flawed as a whole...but ingleby does such a great job with this selfish brat,child-adult who does not learn lessons well, but wants to and inspite of himself admires the "gov"...it is hard to play those complexities and come back ep after ep as one of the good guys...well done!!!
