  • Jude's publicist organizes for her to perform her new single in front of her school. Too bad her school is sick of her, and too bad her best friend Jamie things the song sucks.moreless

Not my favorite Instant Star episode...It was nice that they did an episode showing the backlash of Jude's classmates and how they were getting sick of hearing Jude this and Jude that, and although it took a while it finaly popped into Jude's head that everyone isn't going to love her music all the time. It was a nice Jude/Tommy moment, him giving her advice to comfort her. Some parts of the episode were good though. It seemed very realisitc, but it just didn't entertain me the way I thought it would. I really didn't like the story line, I guess...moreless
  • Jude deals with haters and Jamie's one of them.

This episode poses an interesting question; What happens when a star's support system doesn't like their stuff? Jude is debuting her new song at school and Jamie and Tommy discover that some jealous students are planning a walk-out. Jude could handle that: if Jamie hadn't just told her he hated her new song.

The dynamic between Jude and Jamie is front and center in this episode; Jude looks to Jamie for support (a plot-point to appear again in later episodes) and Jamie loves her and would do anything to make her happy.

We also get a glimpse of the Jude/Tommy relationship in it's beginings and we see just how much Tommy and Jamie really dislike each other.
