Inuyasha: What's a Living Buddha? Miroku: It's a phenomenon called SoucosheanButsu. A monk of extreme virtue fasts and meditates until his death. Eventually his body mummifies, and it's at that point that he achieves Nirvana. Inuyasha: So we're talking about a dried-up, old prune of a monk?
The Japanese title for this episode is Komen ni Ukabu Hijiri Jima no Kekkai, which means, The barrier at Hijiri Island.
