InuYasha

The battle continues in this episode. Sesshomaru and Naraku are fighting, However, the power of Sesshomaru's Tokijin just bounces off Naraku's barrier. Naraku merely mocks Sesshomaru and his futile attacks, only infuriating him more.

Meanwhile, inside the cavernous remains of the Dog Lord, Hosenski tells Inuyasha to cut him open and gain the power he needs to destroy Naraku's barrier for good. Kagome remembers the other times Tetsusaiga became more powerful, whenever Inuyasha defeated another very powerful demon. Inuyasha thinks the same thing and asks Hosenki what would happen to him if he succeeds. Hosenki encourages Inuyasha to try, but there is one small catch: If Inuyasha is not worthy of the power, he could die. With all of his friends at a safe distance Inuyasha starts hacking away at Hosenki's diamond body, creating razor sharp shrapnel to fly at him.

Meanwhile, Sesshomaru refuses to let cowardly Naraku win the fight, and continues fighting with all he has. Naraku finally starts attacking, using a transfigured tentacle. Sesshomaru cuts it up with ease, but miasma starts coming out of it at once.

As Inuyasha continues to hack away at Hosenki, Kagome tries to purify the encroaching poison with one of her sacred arrows, but the only arrow she has left is Kikyo's which has already rejected her. Naraku threatens to kill everyone here, but Sesshomaru just says that their lives mean nothing to him and that his only goal is to kill Naraku at all costs.

As the miasma draws nearer to Inuyasha and his friends, Inuyasha abandons his attempts to destroy the the adamant body of Hosenki. Hosenki says that Inuyasha probably wouldn't be able to use the power even if he were to receive it, but Inuyasha says that his friends are more important then any amount of power.

To prove his point Inuyasha uses his sword to blow away the miasma, knowing that it would never destroy the barrier. However, Naraku's barrier is actually destroyed by hundreds of razor sharp diamond shards. Naraku's arrogant demeanor is replaced by fear. As he watches the destruction he has brought about, Inuyasha sees his sword transform into material made of diamond.

Inuyasha turns to Hosenki to see what happened. Hosenki explains that because Inuyasha cared more for his friends then for gaining power, he received the power. Inuyasha attacks with renewed determination, strength, and a sword radiating with new power. The mighty Adamant Barrage pierces Naraku with lethal diamond spears.

As Naraku is floating in midair, Sesshomaru deals the final blow on the weakened villain. In the wreckage of Naraku's shattered body, Kagome spots the final shard. Kikyo's arrow calls to her, finally allowing her to use it. Kagome takes aim and fires into the cloud of Naraku's limbs, purifying the darkened fragment. Unfortunately, it also opened a portal into which Naraku vanished.

Back in the world of the living, as Kagura is flying, she secretly hopes for Naraku's death. Naraku makes it back to his hideout and starts to regenerate in his barrier. Taking shape inside the barrier, Naraku sees Hakudoshi. It seems Kikyo's arrow struck him in his heart.

In the Netherworld, with Hosenki's approval, Inuyasha takes the final Sacred Jewel Shard. It seems that the victory has started a new fire under Inuyasha, who now more then ever, wants to finally finish off Naraku. The team follows Sesshomaru back to the world of the living.
