  • Bankotsu comes in and it is found out that this 17 year old leader isn't what you'd think him to be.

    8.8
When I saw him it was like, omg, what a hottie and he is an absolute crazy leader. I mean what with the not so seriousness? He should be a bit more stern if he is the leader of a band of murderers. But no, and that is why I absolutely love his character and he is awesome though he is human. Very strong and great looking. Obviously on my bishounen list and I have to tell you, what kind of happy go lucky guy goes and assasinates people? I know, spelling...

In the episode, when it started out and he was writing the letter, wow, that made me really laugh because you'd think the leader would be so uptight and serious, writing down this awesome, "I'm coming to get you" note..

Then with Kohaku, why do they think he is a ninja? Oh well.

And Jakotsu really does make me laugh, what a cool guy.moreless
  • The Leader of the Band of Seven, Bankotsu(A.K.A. "Big Brother"), is not at all what I would have expected.

    9.5
In this episode, Bankotsu, the Leader of the Band of Seven, is introduced. But instead of being a hard-core killing machine, he's actually laid back, calm, and enjoys having fun. Even though that means killing a bunch of people. He's nothing like Renkotsu, who seems more serious all the time. He's a character with a personality all his own, which is probably what makes him the one member of the Band of Seven that stands out the most. That, and his cool personality. Even though he's a villian, you can't help but realize that he's just simply a cool character.

When he went to retrieve his "companion", you get to see how he acts around his sworn enemies. And even with the thought of revenge coursing through his mind and fueling his every will, he manages to give an unforgettable performace of an enemy acting and talking as if he were an ally, then turns around and slays them with the smuggest smile acros his face.

This episode also proves that Kohaku is aware that he is a Demon Slayer, and has not told any member of the Band of Seven, for fear of their reaction. I wonder why?

Definately a memorable episode, for a memorable character.

  • Bankotsu's vengeance shall have no bounds.

    10
Bankotsu rules. No, actually it's like total PWNAGE! Matt Hill is by far one of the best english seiyuu ever. I mean, there's nobody as cool as Bankotsu. He just portrayed the smooth criminal so well it was insane. This episode was easily one of the best so far, even without any action from the world's most famous Hanyoukai himself. My favorite scene was the one where Bankotsu rushed the castle and took back his "companion", the Halberd Banryu. During that scene he has two great lines. "No bonuds. Our revenge shall have no bounds" is the first, and right after he says, "One... Thousand"(referring to the fact that this was the one thousandth life he took). That, my friends, is the embodiment of awsomeness.moreless
