Frickin' awesome. I did most of inuyashing over at Adult Swim's forums, but I'll probably move here as with most of shows. Nice to be able to keep this forum under my favorites again.

Announcing it now and releasing it as early as the fall seems a bit suspicious, but it's great that the anime will have a full conclusion. Also, with 15 volumes and presumably no fillers, it should take no more than a year to finish.

Well, about two weeks ago, Fairy Tail announced that it was getting an anime, and it too will premiere next fall.

Most people figured this announcement was going to come out back when the author did her big showcase, but we got Black Tessaiga instead. I suspect that there will be fifty odd episodes. It depends on how they want to treat the dragon tessaiga arc. There are important parts to it, but a lot of it can be "skimmed" as unimportant. The power ended up being used only peripherally as most of you remember. Still 202 chapters, even at the season 1 rate of 9:32 is 56-57 episodes.

Good news their finally going to finish the anime. Finally Moryomaru will get the proper screen time he deserves he was an awesome villain and IMO better then Naraku himself. Since the series is over that means no fillers for the new series can't wait for Inuyasha 2 to be get dubed.

This should push the show back up in the ratings. I just hope that they cut down on the fillers.

He was a pointless distraction ultimately.

Filler are episodes of an anime that aren't in the original manga and thus are not cannon with the overall story. They just "fill up" space.

I don't think he was pointless he kept the series interesting for me it was nice change from hunting Naraku. The need to defeat Moryomaru ultimately lead to Inuyasha getting Dragon Scaled Tessiga that was moving the plot along.
