Good news their finally going to finish the anime. Finally Moryomaru will get the proper screen time he deserves he was an awesome villain and IMO better then Naraku himself. Since the series is over that means no fillers for the new series can't wait for Inuyasha 2 to be get dubed.
He was a pointless distraction ultimately.
I don't think he was pointless he kept the series interesting for me it was nice change from hunting Naraku. The need to defeat Moryomaru ultimately lead to Inuyasha getting Dragon Scaled Tessiga that was moving the plot along.

Well I thought that this would make a good topic, and it looks legit so here's a link.

    Green lit for IY
    And eight days later...

Viz Adds Inuyasha: The Final Act Anime

Such a fast license. Might mean we won't have to wait very long for a dub, and hopefully it will have the same cast for consistency.

and hopefully they'll keep the end credits scenes in tact, unlike some of the current viz licensed series.

I agree with some of it, but to a degree he had a impact on the series while small still had one.

Naraku played some head games, but it was on par with what he usually does.

Maybe the anime will differ from the manga on this and surprise us all to hell with some actual twists in the ending.

I just wish that they would redo the last few episodes that were aired. Since they removed Kouga and aired the episode with Miroku's bride in the wrong order, why?

It's not like anything was wrong with those last few episodes. Sure, they covered like...fifteen chapters in two episodes...but there wasn't too much that was dropped that was important. What's done is done, they're good to move on. Of course, I'm not sure how they're going to recap where we left off. Do they do filler for an action episode like in FMA? Do they get right into the Medicine seller for an easy laughing start? Do they do a recap of the old episodes?

I could see an action filler to attract new fans and old ones alike. I guess they could do a small recap before the episode. Or maybe before the new series starts they would show the original series to get people caught up. Seems logical to me.

Yes I see no point for them to squeeze in many chapters in two episodes AND yet made all those filler episodes. They should definitely restart the series from there.

How much of change was it really though? If I recall right the only real change was that Kouga didn't fight Moryomaru which is nothing major.

It was a terrible ending, because they rushed a lot of info into the mix, too fast for us to enjoy it and too many new characters for an end of the series. However, if you link that ending with this beginning, you should find that the two will transition fairly well.

Well, I don't think that much has been changed, it's just that they cut it off, right? Well, I didn't read that part of the manga, as I just read where they cut off, but, besides the whole Kouga fight (which I just read on this site), I think it was the same. But they've showing the series for a while now though, and it kept getting pushed back. But yeah, hopefully they will air it at times when I can watch it easier, as currently it airs when it's 2 am here, which will lead to the new series. And I'm sure the writers will include a recap in the first episode as it's been a while. And did it mention anywhere when the first episode will be released?
