They'll probably treat it as a new anime series with a better timeslot (considering it is InuYasha Final Chapter and not just InuYasha) and all of the Japanese cast is confirmed to return and hopefully the dub cast will as well. I personally will watch the dubs when they are released but I'm not even waiting one second after subs are released online to watch them

I'd also like it if they redid the last few episodes, but I'm certainly not keeping my hopes up for it; they'll probably take a 'what's done is done' approach and continue from where they left off. It's sad though, Kouga shouldn't have been shoved off to the side like that.

Anyway, the show will premiere on October 3rd. Do As Infinity will be performing the (first?) opening theme, and AAA will perform the ending theme.

Well if they stick to the script I wouldn't worry too much about Kouga.

Not really, they'll be airing it in the midnight hours it seems.

    26 episodes...

My enthusiasm for the series has greatly diminished.

It's still possible that they might receive more episodes in the form of OAVs.

I can see how if the animators take out all the side stuff, they'd get a shorter series. I'm not sure if I want them to or not. There was quite a bit of filler in the story after the anime ended - but I still like my stories to take a little bit of time. Just not too much.

Than a story gets dull when it is too long. How many chapters are in a volume of Inuyasha?

558 chapters/56 volumes is approximately ten or eleven chapters per volume.

I hope so, unless somehow they cover everything in just 26 episodes. Though I don't see how that is possible.

What, OVAs? That's the worst idea for this series ever.

I want completion this time around. If they've decided to take out all the side stuff, then so be it - but we should have a showdown at the end. MAYBE, if they announced that there would be a movie before the end of the series, would this be acceptable...but boy I think people just want closure.

I should do a work up to see what the episodes will look like. A prediction of sorts.

Does anyone know why they want to produce 26 episodes? With the manga over they do not have to worry about wasting money doing fillers so they might as well just finish the rest of the series without worry about how many episodes it is. I cannot not see them keeping everything in just 26 episodes. I wasn't expecting a 100 new episodes or anything, but condensing what about 300 chapters worth of manga into 26 episodse seems like a bad idea.

I'm thinking that myself I mean even if they covered 2 or 3 chapters in an episode that still wouldn't cover everything. I'm guessing that a lot of cutting ot mashing will be done.

I am so absolutely thrilled that will finally do right by Inuyasha and give it the proper animated ending it deserves. After the anime series ended I did read the manga ending online so I especially want to see it!
