I've stopped caring to be honest. I've read the manga and saw the sub. I would like to see the dub, but not all that big of deal for me anymore. I feel bad for the people who only watch the dub because they are the ones suffering from Viz and whatever is going with them. Nobody seems to have a clear cut answer. Cox says they are done, Mar wasn't even aware of what Cox said. They need to get their act together. I expect this kind of crap from 4kids not Viz. If it is not done or is being delayed tell us already. If you are having money dispute with CN/AS please just tell us already, or if you lost your rights to it and are trying to re-buy them, just tell us. As it is TFA won't air until 2012 or 2013. Bleach may get through the FKT arc before this airs..

Unless they are trying to get the time slot of one of the other anime shows that is airing new episodes.

Oh my goodness, Viz remembered that TFA exists...

Such a vague "release date" though. -pouts-

I really wish someone knew what the hell is going on. The amount of time taken to release this disgusts me.

Moneca Stori's Wikipedia page mentions that she "is a former Canadian voice actress," so it's possible she retired.

I don't know what's going on with David Kaye.

Where did you see that? That is sad news--two of the main characters being different. David Kaye was incredible as Sesshomaru.

I did find the following info on Wikipedia: Kira Tozer replaced Moneca Stori as Kagome Higurashi and Michael Daingerfield voiced Sesshomaru in the place of David Kaye

    Woo.....

Viz to Launch 24-Hour Anime Service on Major Game Console

Their website has TFA listed under "Exclusive English Dubbed Premieres", meaning the first place you'll get to see TFA is on whichever game console they'll be launching their Neon Alley service on this Autumn.

    So...

    $6.99 a month.

And you'll still have to watch commercials.

And you have to tune in at a certain time to watch shows.

And still no mention of DVD/Bluray release dates or AS airings.

    Fantastic.

Well they confirmed the dub changes regarding Kagome and Sesshomaru. They're also splitting up the DVD/Blu-ray release into two sets. The first comes out November 20th.

Update: A clip from the first episode was posted recently here. The new Kagome (Kira Tozer) is featured prominently. She'll take some getting used to, but she's not too bad.

Her voice, I guess sounds a bit lighter. I'lll admit that sometimes Moneca's voice annoyed me.

I see that the DVD's have been released and are available at Amazon. Has anyone gotten them? I would be interested in knowing what you think of the new English dub.

I finally finished watching Inuyasha!!!! From when it first appeared on Adult Swim in 2001-ish, I have been waiting ever so patiently. I sat through 40-week filler sagas, years of no new dub episodes being released, and then Viz just gave up and decided to wait for the manga to be finished. When The Final Act was announced, I figured it would only be a matter of weeks for dub episodes to come out on Adult Swim, as speedy dubbing takes place all the time with other Anime. But then Viz dragged its ass across the ground for three years...THREE YEARS.

When they FINALLY released The Final Act on DVD in December, I had to struggle to contain my excitement. Since they only released the first HALF, I would have to sit on my pre-ordered The Final Act DVD until part two was released. There was no way I way going to watch thirteen episodes and wait yet again for the rest of the episodes. No way. I had to watch all 26 in one shot. Part 2 was released in February, and my wife and I, after twelve long years, have FINALLY finished watching Inuyasha!!!

    ...

    IT WAS TOTALLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad the manga writer took chances. I'm glad she was not afraid to kill beloved characters that we have grown up with for twelve years. The ending was kind of a typical nonsensical anime ending, but unlike the previous series' fakeout ending, this one brought real closure. I was fully satisfied with the outcome and the final battles. My wife and I have no regrets waiting all this time to see the powerful conclusion to Inuyasha. I guarantee that any true Inuyasha fan will not be disappointed. So...go watch it now! All of you! Go!

Did you watch the English dub? How was it? I have been holding off buying it to see if they come up with a set for the whole series.
