Boku'seno reveals that the sheaths or scabbards of Tetsusaiga and Tenseiga were carved from his branches, which explains some of the mystical power contained in the simple looking wood.
After the bandit puts his foot on the cocoon, Gatenmaru (moth-demon) says, "It's a poison cocoon, one touch and you'll melt away". A few moments later, Gatenmaru says, "It's a poison cocoon. With continued exposure you would melt away." Later still, when the cocoon touches Miroku, he doesn't melt.
Kid: As thanks, I'm gonna give you my treasure. Bye, thanks again. Miroku: What did the boy give you? Inuyasha: A molted snake skin. Kagome: Cool, just what you always wanted. Shippo: Wow! Inuyasha, if you don't want it, can I have it, please?
Gatenmaru: Little man, what is the meaning of this? Why does this sword reject me? Inuyasha: Hm, I'll tell you about my Tetsusaiga. It's choosy about its user, and it would never let a low-class demon, like you, come anywhere near it.
Old Man: I've fallen and I can't get up!
