Kagome's Instinctive Choice is a very good episode . it shows how much inuyasha cares for kagome . he shows it by staying with her , when kagome tells inuyasha to follow kikyo when he relizes that kikyo is still alive . inuyasha was also surprise to find out that kagome was the one who had saved kikyo . but even when he finds this out he still stays with kagome . it shows that even if kikyos back , he sill loves her but now has also fallen in love with kagome . kagomes knows that inuyasha can not forget about kikyo , but still stays with inuyasha because of how much she loves him .moreless
  • Kikyo is on the verge of dying and Kagome must decide if she will save her or if she will let her die.

Kikyo is injured from the miasma and Kagome is the only one who can purify the miasma. Kagome gets a glimpse into Kikyo's memory, while trying to save her. She sees what had happened between Kikyo and InuYasha [Naraku) and she sees why Kikyo is trapped in that moment. After Kagome purified the miasma, Kikyo walks away without saying thanks and even though Kagome told her InuYasha wanted to see her. While sitting there Kagome starts to wonder why Kikyo thought she wouldn't save her and she becomes upset. When InuYasha and the gang arrive to see her there, she is still very much so upset. She tells InuYasha she hates him and that it's all his fault. InuYasha tells Kagome he won't go after Kikyo. We find out that Kagome saying she hated InuYasha hurt his feelings, she apologizes even though she forgot saying that.

This was an excellent episode! I felt Kagome's pain after she saved Kikyo. InuYasha needs to realize how Kagome feels.moreless

You kind of had no choice but to feel bad for Kagome especially when InuYasha showed up and when Kikyo made her feel like she thought Kagome was such a horrible person that she wasn't going to save her and Kikyo could have said thanks.. I mean she just saved your life and you can't ever give her a simple thanks ? Oh well.. but anyways it was a good episode.moreless
  • Kagome is given the choice to save Kikyou or leave her for dead.

This episode was one of those episodes that are impossible to forget. Just seeing the first sparks when Kagome enters the pond made me smile. The connection between the two priestesses is apparent, their love for Inuyasha and their bonds with time makes them incredible characters, and any episodes seeing them communicate (like episode 98) is a treat. The connection they have is mind-numbing at times, and I myself sometimes like to pair them together in fanfics. *hides* I loved this episode and I only wish there was more moments with them together like this. Rumiko Takahashi could have gone further into their relationship, and possibly given them a bit more to work with. *grins* They could have been canon if Rumiko wanted them to be, they probably would have worked. ^w^moreless
