  • (Seekers of the Sacred Jewel) In this episode Inuyasha & Kagome is still getting to know one other. When I seen the one before this one. I just like Kagome. But as I watch more & more Inuyasha episodes I now like Inuyasha & Kagome. Inuyasha is a fun show.moreless

(Seekers of the Sacred Jewel) Inuyasha & Kagome just start to look for the Jewel Shards. In this Inuyasha episode they have not met there friends yet. I have the Inuyasha DVD season Box Set that this episode is on. I like it. It is a fun episode. Inuyasha & Kagome is still working on getting to know one another. I think Inuyasha and Kagome look good together. I like Inuyasha & Kagome in the Inuyasha Show & Movie's. I'm going to be Kagome for Halloween of 2008. I still have to wait for my Kagome Costume to come in the mail yet.moreless

  • okay: So kagome's still in the past when inuyasha's all like "gimme the jewel" and she's all like "no!" so kaede put a necklace on him, and now anytime kagome says "sit" he does a face plant. then kagome breaks the jewel, what next?!?!?!moreless

Great! Better than the first! Kagome is now stuck in the feudal era and inuyasha tries to threaten her into giving him the jewel, and kagome's in deep when kaede places a subjacation necklace on inuyasha (which will appear very often later on") and now he does a faceplant every time she says "SIT!". ha ha ha! so then She tries to find a way to get back home through the well, and she get's capture by these bandits that are after the sacred jewel. Their boss has been acting funny lately, and he wants it. Turns out, the "boss" is actually dead, and being controlled by this bird-crow-thingy. When the bird gets ahold of the jewel, kagome hits it with an arrow and accidently breaks the jewel! What will happen next? stay tuned...moreless
  • Inuyasha, good or bad?

A great second episode. Kagome releases the half-demon, Inuyasha, who saves her from the demon chasing her. But Kagome soon finds out that she saved her only to get the Shikon Jewel for himself. Kaede, the local priestess also the younger sister of her past life, puts a spell on Inuyasha in order to control him. She makes it so that every time, Kagome says "Sit," Inuyasha will fall to the ground and making him powerless to hurt Kagome. Kagome, being in charge of guarding the Shikon Jewel, is kidnapped by a local group of bandits led by a demon in a dead body. She manages to escape but the demon takes the Jewel. While trying to kill the demon with the Jewel, she accidentally breaks it. This is the start of an adventure to collect the pieces of the Shikon Jewel. Will Inuyasha and Kagome be able to work together if they want to keep the shards of the Jewel from landing in the hands of evil?moreless
  • Inuyasha is set loose from his 'sleep' and is running wild. Kaede and Kagome find the perfect solution. This ep has important information for future reference.

I am not a big fan of the first ep. of this season, though I love the series in general ( I mean who wouldn't? ). What really got me hooked ( or at least enough to watch another ep that linked me to the series forever lol ) was this ep. It is funny, action packed, and it is actually really informative with facts that many novice Inuyasha fans should now about. If you have not watched many Inuyasha eps and still do not know if you like it, make sure you put this ep on your must see list before you make your opinion.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • We learn from Kagome that she took swimming lessons.

    • In the recap for the previous episode, Mistress Centipede's breasts had not been partially removed.

    • Crow demons can posses the dead, making them move and talk somewhat, but nowhere near the degree of more powerful demons.

    • When Inuyasha is chasing after Kagome, every time you see where Kagome was bitten by Mistress Centipede, there isn't any blood.

    • Kagome is running away from Inuyasha, when she falls down. The scene changes to Inuyasha doing a far jump to reach her. Look at the background while he's jumping through the air, there are mountains in the background, then they disappear into the sky.

    • In the Japanese version, when the thieves first brought Kagome to their hut and they start to lift up her skirt, Kagome calls them perverts instead of "Don't do that, it'll rip", and they tell her that she shouldn't be complaining when she's wearing something that revealing.

  • QUOTES (10)

  • NOTES (5)

    • This episode was published in the Inuyasha Ani-Manga Volume 1.

    • This episode is from chapters 3-5 from volume 1 in the manga.

    • In the English dub, the Crow Demon (through the bandit chief) tells Kagome to give it the "Oni jewel". This is a mistake in choice of words; "Oni" is the Japanese term for "ogre", and the Shikon Jewel would be more accurately referred to as the "yokai ("demon") jewel", because its powers are sought by demons.

    • This episode first aired in Japan on October 23rd, 2001.

    • Japanese episode title: 四魂の玉を狙う者たち
Romaji episode title: Shikon no Tama o Nerau Monotachi
Translated episode title: Ones Who Seek the Shikon no Tama

    • Villager : So fast! She must be a kappa! A water-imp!

In Japanese folklore, a kappa is a funny looking amphibian with a circle of hair on its head (the middle is bald) and a beak-like mouth. A kappa can bode both good and evil, being either a guardian of a water source or prankster that drowns passers-by.
