  • Very good episode, definitely well above-average.

This episode is suspenseful, sad, and action-packed but is unfortunately plagued with dialogue that makes me cringe. However, despite the bad dialogue, this is one of the best episodes.

This episode fleshes out Kohaku and Sango and really gives you some insight on how much the siblings love each other. Well, at least how much Sango loves Kohaku, anyway. It especially shows how "strong" Sango is emotionally. She did not stoop to Inuyasha and Kikyo's level from 50 years ago, she didn't let hate control her actions and she wasn't tempted by revenge, which makes her character special all the more.

Must-see. This episode is no doubt in my top 5 favorite Inuyasha episodes.moreless
  • We saw a lot of character development here in this episode.

We saw a lot of character development here in this episode. In the beginning while everyone was sleep in the room, inuyasha woke up and found that sango was up and thinking. Inuyasha said that I feel bad for you, and that I couldnt kill a person that look like the person I love. Than the monk woke up and said that were surround, sango brother was outside and inuyasha ran after him. And knocked him out, than sango brother was going to kill himself but sango stopped that and the brother escaped. Sango grabbed the inuyasha sword and took off after them. She gave naruku the sword and sango brother attacked her, and kogame used her arrow while they were in the poison tornado. She almose killed naruku and he backed off, when he left he took sango brother with him.moreless
  • A very good episode, Sango stole inuyasha Tetsusaiga to save Kohaku's life

This episode is really good, Sango steal inuyasha's tetsusaiga and almost betray her companions to save kohaku.

When she arrive at naraku's castle they begin a violent fight, Then naraku order kohaku to fight her sister, it is really dramatic how Kohaku attack her sister and she only avoid the attacks and later give him her mask for he to not die by Naraku's Poison.

I think that the most awesome part of this episode is when Kagome almost kill naraku with her sacred Arrow. She is getting stronger. You must see this episodemoreless
  • How far would you go to save your beloved sibling?

When I first watched this episode, then watched it again. I couldn't help but feel a general sadness for Sango and Kohaku. If anything else this emotion seems to come through the strongest. Key scenes to point out, Sango stopping Kohaku from removing the shard embedded in his back, Sango's indescion about what to do with the Tetsusaiga, not defending herself from her possed brother, Kohaku getting away. Along with sadness I felt the feeling of anger coming through the characters. Especially at the scene where Inuyasha and the others where trapped inside Naraku's miasma, and Kagome with her new found powers cleared the miasma, hitting Naraku. The only possible low point in my opinion was at the very end. Knowing that Naraku managed to escape, and seeing how upset everyone was made me really think about a few things. That this was well written, the conflicts are well shown where your not second guessing what's what. If you want to watch a touching Sango and Kohaku episode I would recommend this one along with many others.moreless
  • Trapped by Naraku, Kagome has to save the day.

I really enjoyed this ep., but it is not one of my favorites. The gang is on the hunt when Naraku catches them. It is up to Kagome, and not Inuyasha, to save them. This is one of the few, if not only, ep when Kagome saves the day. This one shows a bit of Kagome's importance, besides finding the jewel shards and the Inuyasha/Kagome relationship. She shows courage and strength that really does not show that much until later in the series. Though the ep is centered around the gang following Naraku, I feel that Kagome is the main focus.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • When Sango throws the Tetsusaiga at Naraku and Naraku takes hold of it, that's proof that he's a half-demon, because only half-demons and humans are able to touch the Tetsusaiga.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Inuyasha: Will you stop whining, Sango! We want you to stick with us 'cause you're not a half bad fighter, and that's all there is to it.

    • Kagome: I'm sorry. I couldn't kill him.
Miroku: No need to apologize, we should be thanking you. If it weren't for you we'd be dead by now.
Inuyasha: Kagome, I've never seen you fight like that. It was almost as good as me.
